This is a sushi place with a Brazilian twist! The sushi was good, a lot of the sushi does have cream cheese in them which is nice, brazillians seem to like their cream cheese! They also do a lot of fried rolls which is quite tasty. The service was nothing special just okay. I do feel like the service could take it up a notch! They do mot have things like saki or green tea ice cream, and the green tea is just regular tea bags u can get from the supermarket not actual brewed green tea like a teal Japanese place, that was disappointing, but again this was more Brazilian feels! The i side is very pretty with a flower wall! They also do have a robot that brings food but it was not in use as we went early and not many people at that time.
Not bad but not great either. I had the $24,99 AYCE lunch special and my boyfriend had the chicken. AYCE menu is not bad for the price but they really need more servers and cooks. Upon arriving to the restaurant there was no one at the front. Had to just stand there for more than 5 minutes waiting for someone to notice us. Reason for this is because the person in the front also was also a server who was also the cashier. Even for the all you can eat, they don’t really come check on you asking if you want to order something else for a good 20 minute. My recommendation is to order everything at once as you just don’t know when you are going to be able to get server’s attention again. He was never in the hall unless he was bringing food from the kitchen Food was okay but once again, insanely slow service. I don’t blame the server as there’s only so much that a single person can do. But they seriously need to hire more people.
Me and my boyfriend went to celebrate his birthday, we thought this was a great option as he loves sushi and I don’t eat it, but the restaurant offers a variety of other sides which were in fact delicious and nostalgic as we’re Brazilian. We had the AYCE. The fruit juice and the Caipirinha were amazing. The sushi was really good, the Brazilian snacks too. The robot is the cutest thing and made the experience a lot more fun. But… There was no one at the door when we arrived. We were confused and then someone came after a while and sat us. The restaurant was empty except for 1 table. I work in a restaurant so I like to analyze other places’ services lol. They have a beautiful pink flower wall, but we had to move as the other group was sitting there too. Our server was really nice and explained everything. Quickly brought our drink orders which were delicious as previously mentioned. The food did take some time to arrive, but we weren’t in a rush. Maybe they are short staffed, as there was only 1 server for the time we were there + the robot. Everything was good until my boyfriend started feeling his stomach upset. The avocado in the rolls tasted “unripe”, so he assumed it was that. He didn’t really enjoy the bowls either. He couldn’t eat anymore after he had the pieces with avocado. We had to ask for water a couple of times before it was actually brought to us. I think the server was a bit overwhelmed so I don’t blame her. We waited at least 15 minutes for the bill. We were having a good time, but he had stomach ache for the rest of the night and had to… unfortunately. He was sure it was the avocado that wasn’t ripe enough to be eaten. Overall, it was a nice experience, but we won’t return too soon, it is a bit on the pricey side, and there are other more affordable AYCE. And obviously, because of the avocado incident that could have been avoided. The highlight was the cat robot and the drinks.
I had been looking forward to trying this place for sometime now. Sadly I was disappointed. Big fan of Brazilian cuisine and love sushi so I thought this would hit two birds with the same stone. Sadly the sushi wasn't good and it was hardly Brazilian at all. Decoration is simple with IKEA table and chairs, a wall of plastic flowers and dim lighting. Sadly, the first greeting when entering the restaurant is the smell from the kitchen not a bad smell but more of cooking oil. Although nothing was bad, nothing stood out as being really good either. On Saturday night there was only one other table aside from ours and the waiter seemed to be overwhelmed - I imagine that they're doing well with Skip the Dishes and Uber Eats, since it didn't feel like the dining room was the priority. Sushi was bland and not flavourful at all. Ginger wasn't served with our orders nor was it offered. The croquettes that we ordered for the appetizers were oily and not tasty at all. Really wanted to love this place and left disappointed. At least the Heineken was cold.
Not sure if the only two waitstaff were new but the restaurant was half full and service was very slow. After 15 minutes of waiting on 2 tempura apps aside from a party tray, I asked how far long our order was and they hadn't begun, despite the 2 apps being very small and served in one small bowl. We asked for water 3 times and finally got it after food was served. Happy they at least served items from the tray separately. Food was standard but delicious. I'm glad I didn't dine in for ayce that day.
They are nice and friendly: I liked Handroll, FreshTuna green onion and GrilledSalmon cream cheese! There is photogenic wall
Mary our server was fantastic even with Bella the robot Maneuvering to serve people Mary took her time to service directly. The food was presented superbly and tasted phenomenal. My camera cannot do the plates Justice but you will live this little fusion restaurant. Try the cheesy bread. Trust me.
Place is very homey, and cozy! Staff is wonderful, in particular Mary, she was such a pleasure to interact with! The food is very unique, a sushi with a special touch. If you want to try something new, I will highly recommend this place. Personal favourite was the Crispy Kale on top Tempura Roll. Had an amazing time here!
I ordered delivery from this place during their 99 cent promo, so I wasn’t expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised! Each roll looked like they put lots of effort into it, with very unique flavour combinations. It was an experience trying them all and trying to pick our favourite! We really liked the hot rolls and the roll with plantain so yum!!. We had an issue with our delivery but the store was as helpful as they could be given the confusion. Would definitely order again.
I would give it a 0/5 stars. The worst of the worst place I have been for sushi. Yuck. Took over 30 minutes to get our first order. Took over 1 hour or more for the 2nd order. Food was beyond disgusting. Service was trash. I came here because of blogto but this is the last time I trust blogto. The place was freezing inside when it was cold outside. The place was empty. They seem to focus on food delivery orders first then customers in the restaurant. $50 per person for AYCE They have a rule where any unfinished roll or sushi you would pay extra. I highly DO NOT recommend this place. HARD PASS.
