My cousin and I decided to have a late lunch here, and the food selection was very diverse. The place accommodates a good number of people, and the staff were quick and efficient. The dishes truly tasted Asian and were great overall. I just wish the fruits were better.
I find this is a decent spot. The food is alright, but it somewhat reminds me of mall chinese food. The decor is nice but dated and the service us decent. The nice surprise was they have bubble tea, but they didnt have the Boba, they only had the lychee jelly.
Went here with my buddy last night after not going for years cause I dont drive, I grew up with this place, my mother took me when I was a child and it was called treasures of China, im 38 now, I have gone a few times in my adult life and it has been good and busy but it's gone downhill a lot and after last night it will be my final visit. Went on a Friday when you think it would be busy shortly after 6pm, it was a ghost town maybe 6 tables seated, lights off in half the restaurant as we entered the lobby area was being used for storage with tons of boxes and another bar area closed off with the lights off, went to the washroom first more chairs and junk piled in the hallway to the washroom the washroom was maybe a 3/10 for cleanliness as they obviously dont deep clean and focus on speed, a toilet was backed up. At this point I already saw the red flags saying to myself this might not be good. On to the food, I dont eat much seafood that might have saved me judging by reviews on here what I did have salt and pepper squid was hard and very rubbery shrimp still had all the poop in them I only ate 1 luckily other food just seemed old soggy and slimey, now my favorite part has always been the Mongolian grill where a guy cooks raw food and meats for you. It was okay but they were definitely using cheaper meat now that wasn't to good. So yeah im sure there is other things but these stood out the most. Unfortunately after a couple plates not full yet i just got sharp pains in my stomach instantly and had to go very slow and eventually just give up and stop because of the pain. My buddy reached out to me saying he has been sick all day. The only redeeming thing about this place was they were quick to clear plates away but i guess with so few guests its easier. It also felt like they were trying to save money where they could. I wish this place could go back in time to the treasures of China days yes it was more dark and gloomy but then again when you turn off half the lights here and treasures of China was always packed with lineups always, needed reservations I also loved the fishtanks with the giant fish around the restaurant, bring that back. Most of all get your food quality and cleanliness up,dont turn off the lights as it feels unwelcoming and clean up all the junk everywhere that's not appealing at all the place needs to feel welcoming and clean from the moment you walk in and not like your just surviving and hanging on by a thread. This place currently feels like it may only have a couple years left and also with competition like A+ down the road who is always busy maybe you can get some pointers and ideas from them. Good luck and I wish you the best in the future but I for one will have to close out this childhood memory of mine.
I went there two weeks ago for my friend graduation for the first time around 7pm and we closed the restaurant.nThe food was very good. I went 3 times to the table because it was so good.nI do recommend it.
nBest Asian buffet in Calgary hands down! The variety is insane! With the fresh sushi rolls, crispy spring rolls, juicy black pepper beef, hot wonton soup that hits the spot, and the gyoza is bangin’!nDesserts are on point too those little mango puddings!. Always clean, staff are super friendly and quick to refill, and the price is unbeatable for all-you-can-eat. We come here every month and never leave disappointed. 10/10!
