Brunch at Arthurs… Let’s address the elephant in the room; the wait time. So i was scrolling on the reviews of Arthurs before going and I saw most of its negative reviews were about its long waiting time. Well guess what, I’ve had to wait an hour too and i wasn’t that mad about it, after my brunch. What do you expect from a small family owned breakfast place that is known for being the best brunch place on the island. So if you’re reading this review and you are impatient, then Arthur ain’t for you. If you’re the opposite, grab a protein bar and chill outside and wait as the others, if you can’t do that, go somewhere else cause Montreal isn’t short on brunch places. Now that’s said, let’s move on to the foods. We were a group of 3. The brunch and regular menu were available for us. We ordered the Moroccan toast, the spicy fried chicken and smoked salmon from their brunch menu, with a side of pancakes. Yes it did take some time to come, but i didn’t mind as we were having a great time talking with each over. Because of the place’s ambiance we even started talking with our neighbours and asking them for their choices on the menu. Their dishes reflect another level of quality. Everything was delicious. From their coffee to their fried chicken, everything were cooked to perfection. The Moroccan toast was a surprise for me, the layers of flavour was amazing. Their pancakes are a must! Fried chicken wasn’t even that greasy, the beef bacon was a discovery for me and they don’t miss on their hot sauce On to the service, our waiter was really welcoming and attentive to us. Although, he was busy with the other tables, he always pass by ours to ask if we needed anything. Mind you, that the Brunch service happens every weekends and that place do not slow down. Your service team deserves all my praises When its comes to pricing, Arthurs is on the pricey side when it comes to brunch but, their quality and quantity can’t be compared to other places. Their smoked salmon is homemade and our waiter even explained to us where they get their beef bacon. If you’re a big group, get all the dishes from the brunch menu as it’s worth the price if you want to share. I also, purchased a salami sandwich and really didn’t mind the price as the quality was really good. Overall, Brunch at Arthurs was a first but not a last for me. For me brunching with friends is to have a good time, great food and a great start of the day, Arthurs delivers just that with its quality dishes and amazing service.
This is one of my favourite breakfast/brunch joints in the city. Everything is so delicious, I can never get enough. At times I’ve waited close to two hours. If you don’t want to wait long, go during opening or you can always order your food online and eat it at the park nearby if the weathers nice can still take some time to get your food. When they don’t have their patio, the indoor seating can be very tight. However, the atmosphere is cute and cozy. All their sandwiches are incredible especially their breakfast, chicken, salami and salmon. Their pancakes and cookies are UNREAL. My all time favourite dish has to be their Moroccan Toast.
The waiting time was an hour we went on a Saturday at 10:30 am. The food took a while to aririve, but once it did, it was worth the wait. We got the grand slam, Moroccan bread, and French fries. They were all delicious. We ordered pancakes. They took 45 minutes, and they never arrived. However, they were nice about it and gave us a complimentary waffle instead, which was delicious as well. The staff is amazing, but I would not recommend sitting outdoor. There was too much pollen, and the flowers were falling on our glasses far less romantic than it sounds. Also, I would recommend getting tennis balls and rackets to waste time while waiting for the table. You do have to book the tennis courts though. Overall, I would come here again as I had a positive experience
The pancake was light & creamy, soft & not too sweet. We ordered it as a starter for the whole group to share. It was amazing. Smoked salmon was delicious, amazing texture with thick cut, not salty and tasted very fresh... Eggs & rolls were amazing. When the chef could made Something so simple to perfection. Thats a skill. A place where pancake and smoked salmon will make you cry.
I was lucky to have chosen to go to Arthur’s on a day there was no line up. There’s a lot of hype and this place definitely merits 5 stars. The food was delicious and the menu had very interesting options. I loved the avocado toast and was sad I didn’t get to try the chicken sandwich since it’s only served at 11. I’d probably go back on the weekend to try their brunch weekend.
Waited about 35 minutes for a seat at the bar for 2 - and we both had the Grand Slam. Not sure if that was the best thing to get on the menu since I wasn't overly excited with the dish as a whole. The pancakes were delicious definitely get their pancakes! and the bacon was tasty. The batter on the fried chicken was a bit off for me, but the chicken was moist and the hot sauce was pretty tasty as well, but I feel like it would have been better on a waffle. The sunny side egg was a bit too runny for me, but all in all, it was a great experience and the staff there were amazing and friendly!
Went to get some breakfast there pretty last minute as i was walking around the neighbourhood. Came in and i looked pretty lost but one of the staff was very nice and welcoming and helped me with what to order. Such a lovely service with amazing staff members, it's a first for me and i felt positively overwhelmed. It was pretty crowded when i came in but the staff made sure i was seated and served without holding up anything. Recommending me their amazing fluffy pancakes TO DIE FOR! and a mouth warming hot cup of coco, it was delicious! They were very patient with me and made sure i enjoyed my food, and i did. I definitely do recommend this place. First time eating there and it was an incredible experience. I'll make sure to be back with my sister and make her enjoy the vibe of the beautiful restaurant. Feels nice to have such great food and service in the neighbourhood! <3
I didn't know pancakes could taste this good, they were the best I ever had in my entire life, both the plain ones as the banana ones I added cinnamon because is helps lower blood-type sugar and also I love the banana-cinnamon combo. Cutlery was sparking clean, so much I could see myself in the fork, loved the cleanliness there. The downsides are the waiting time and prices, but if you do your homework and read about the restaurant before going there, none of them should be much of an hassle. Will return with friends!
Delicious brunch/lunch, if you manage to get a table! The place is not particularly small but it's very popular. It's packed even on weekdays for lunch. If you want to avoid lineups, get there before 11am or after 1pm on weekdays. I've never tried getting in for weekend brunch. It's quite noisy inside, and the place the decor is simple but well done. The food is the big selling point here. I always go for the chicken schnitzel sandwich, and the pancakes are the best I've had. They're almost custardy, yet fluffy and light. They're amazing. Simple is fast, friendly and efficient
Great semi fancy breakfast. The place is small but cozy. The menu is also tiny 4 brunch plates, but you are guaranteed that each of the items is extremely well done and tasteful. I ordered the Jack Johnson and the Gravelax sandwich, and they were amazing. Get there early because it is always packed
