I forgot to leave a review sooner. Ordered takeout for our dinner party a couple weeks ago. Everyone enjoyed it! I have also been here for lunch to dine-in and the service was great! Good portions I had to take some to go. Thank you! Will be coming back for more sushi! ^^
Walked in here one day during the week after work, got a medium size sushi & maki platter, the portion is generous. Quality of fish is 4 stars considering the price, and the tempura is crispy juicy - 5 stars, service is always ask me if I need more tea or not. Recommended !
Overall the quality of the food was good. The eel still had many smaller and bigger bones which was unpleasant. Also the staff were polite but unattentive. When we finally got her attention, she said hold on and went to serve other customers. Skeptic to return.
Lots of options on the menu. The rolls were quality made and came out fast during a busy Friday lunch. Friendly service. The place is not too big, so can be full at times.Food: 5/5
It is my fav sushi spot! The fish is so fresh and delicious, cant wait to go there again. Always busy, if ordering take-out - better do it in advance!:
In fairness, for my wife and I, this place can do no wrong. We've been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to travel pretty extensively around the world and somehow have managed to get into some well renowned sushi places in our travels. - all that said, we are always quite happy to return back to ArooWha, the beat value for money place that we have been able to experience. You can absolutely taste the quality of ingredients they use here, and the value for dollar spent is comparable to some of the best I've seen, certainly within the GTA. Worth visiting, perhaps give them a call if you have a larger group, take out is also possible we've availed ourselves several times now
Quality sushi at a lovely little restaurant, definitely worth the money and the price I felt was worth what was being offered here! The outside may not look as enticing but I promise you if you take the time to go in, the ambiance is relaxing and the staff are professional, you won’t regret it! I really felt welcome here, this was my first visit as I am new to the area. Unfortunately it was late after work and I didn’t have the time to sit in the restaurant so I had my food “to go”. I cannot wait to come back and sit in and relax and eat! I took a peep around at some others eating and enjoying themselves as I walked out and it intrigued me even more to have the dine in experience next time. Have a look I took one picture but I had to take a bite of one first haha. I had the tempura shrimp and California rolls. I also bought chicken tariyaki which was served on a bed of cook cabbage drenched in tariyaki sauce with white rice on the side.
*** update: I was there yesterday and I noticed quality has gone down significantly, I guess as a result of the new management or the new owner! Our server was super friendly but the roll I always get since 2020 was not the same. Plus annoying fruit flies . Best sushi ever! I always go there. Spicy double double and Philadelphia rolls are highly recommend, super delicious. Since I tried this place I can’t go anywhere else!
The food is tasty and the portions are BIG. The service is good. If only they could pickup the phone for take out orders.
Small space - calm atmosphere as there are not a lot of tables. Food is decent, but the portions exceeded our expectations given the price. Great service - server suggested alternative dishes without asking. Food preparation is a bit slow, but not a big deal to us. Will be back for sure.
