Welcome to Armchair Books, if you're planning a trip to Whistler, then our friendly bookstore in the mountains is your source for all the regional guides, maps and nature books for your recreational adventure, plus the latest fiction, cookbooks, current affairs, greeting cards, etc..

Our web site showcases our outdoor books only, but there is a link to view all books in print. You can search for any book you like. Please either phone or email us for any books you are looking for, but can't find online. Chances are we will have it in stock, or we'll give you instant feedback on how long to order and how much.

We also offer free delivery to Squamish and 10% discount for online orders.

Enormous thanks to the owner of this independent bookstore who, when I asked for local novels, could point this book-loving Aussie to a wonderful range of Canadian authors. I would never have known about them prior to his input. I bought 3 novels that day; SO much nicer to turn a page than scroll a Kindle! Thank you so much. I thoroughly enjoyed my education by reading Three Day Road by Joseph Boyden. Then, not to be type-cast, I was encouraged to read a Malaysian author whose novel, which I only finished yesterday, brought me to tears - something I've not done for many a good read! ( The Gift of Rain by Tan Twan Eng) It's over 6 weeks since I went to Armchair Books one rainy Sunday afternoon on our travels, and your recommendations have extended my "holiday feel" by several extra weeks - true value for money. May business be kind to you so your independent store continues to operate and florish. This is a little gem of a bookstore.

Only bookstore in Whistler. But the staff are great, really helpful. Easy to make a request and have them order in a book for yourself if they don't have it in stock.
