After checking out other campgrounds in the area, we decided on Arbor Vitar as they seemed the most family friendly. We weren't disappointed once in the 4 days we were there. We arrived a few hours early and because there wasn't anyone in the site we reserved, they allowed us to check in early. Our site and fire ring was within a few feet from a little creek (which the kids LOVED) that flows from Big Arbor Vitae Lake. The little stream was so peaceful to fall asleep to and it's only about a foot deep so our kids played in it several times throughout the weekend. They spent nights searching for crawfish and frogs and caught many. Across from our site is a little park that they enjoyed as well. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the bathrooms and showers were! Seriously, we have no complaints. Nice, clean, quiet campground that we plan to return to for a yearly tradition!
