Disappointing Experience – Forced to Bring a Physical Card Despite Using Apple PaynnI recently placed an order through the Apple Store using Apple Pay and went in to exchange the product for a different color. To my surprise, I was asked to bring the physical card used for the purchase, even though I used Apple Pay for the transaction! This completely defeats the purpose of using Apple Pay for convenience and security.nnWhat made it worse was that one of the store managers Lynn, actually advised me to “always keep the physical card with you” when using Apple Pay. On top of that, the payment terminal clearly had an option for manual credit card entry, and I even asked the employee to use that option, but they resisted and insisted I needed the physical card. It’s strange that they couldn’t use the same card I used with Apple Pay for the exchange.nnThis was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating, as I had to make another trip just to bring the card I thought I wouldn’t need. Apple, please streamline your processes. If you allow payment through Apple Pay, customers shouldn’t have to deal with this unnecessary hassle. Very disappointed with the service.
The store was packed like sardines with customers due to Black Friday sale, they had ample staff, easily identifiable by red t-shirts. Service was quick, knowledgeable and efficient. Both reps I dealt with were pleasant and relaxed in spite of the crowded store. The shopping experience was excellent and speaks well of the brand.
Have called Halifax Apple Store several times to ask a few questions about a repair I need for my iPhone. It’s impossible to speak to a human being, and the digital advisor and website were not helpful at all. Seems you have to book an appointment and travel to the store for any basic service questions that would take 5 minute over the phone. Like how long will you need the phone for, can I use my old phone while waiting, is it covered under warranty. Disappointed.
Yasmin Albatie provided me an exceptional service during my last visit to the Apple Store. She was knowledgeable, patient, and attentive, making sure all my concerns were addressed. Her dedication to customer satisfaction made me love to go back to store!
I recently had an awful experience at the Apple Store in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I came in to inquire about the iPhone 16 Pro Max and its stock availability, but the service I received was appalling, mainly due to Marco, the store manager. His behavior was not only rude but also blatantly racist.nnAfter a friendly, small British man in the back of the store helpfully redirected me to the front, where Marco was, I was shocked by how dismissive Marco was. He barely acknowledged me and continued to play with his fidget spinner as if my request didn’t matter. When I tried to ask about the phone’s availability, he cut me off and gave curt, unhelpful responses. His lack of interest in providing any meaningful customer service and the disrespect I felt were completely unacceptable.nnIt’s alarming to see this kind of attitude from a manager, and I truly believe I was treated differently based on my background. This has left a very negative impression on me, and I won’t be returning to this store. I hope Apple seriously addresses this behavior and ensures that staff, especially managers like Marco, are held accountable for their actions.
