Anjou Patates

Story

If you're hungry for a quick bite. This is the place. It's true, their menu is restricted to hotdogs and fries. But, it's the best hotdogs and fries in town. Service is fast because of the menu's simplicity. I've eaten fries in Belgium and Anjou Patates is the closest in quality and flavor to those Belgian fries.
Retired or almost senile old man was very rude. No customer service whatsoever. Old guy who works there shouldn’t be there serving customers in the front. Has no politeness and would be better probably if he did retire. Would make this place a lot more enjoyable to go
I'm not sure what is sadder: the owners who've lost their passion for their business or the fact this spot has not had any improvements over the years. The owners should go around other similar establiments to see how others operate and make some improvements. When the cashier/cook she washed her hands after handling cash garnishes your hot dog with cabage using her BARE hands, you realized just how behind the industry standards are the owners of this restaurant -- like, seriously, use a spoon garnish the dogs... Overall, it's just well below average. Fries cuts are too thick so cooking is just average and long. Their poutine sauce is unreasonably thick. My last visit would probably be my last for the foreseeable future.
Well....I've been going there since I was a kid in the middle sixties and seventies. ...And by far they had the absolute best fries and dogs.......But sadly. ....Not now. ....The hotdogs are bland and tasteless. ....The fries are terrible. ....They have gotten into the "Smoked Meat Petes" habit of Pre frying the fries before cooking them again. ...making them dry and tasteless. .....The new ownership should get off their high horse and listen to their customers. ..
I've been going here since I was a kid. And to be honest I still have not found a place that beats anjou patate when it comes to hot dogs and poutine. It is without a doubt a very simple poutine but it's the best poutine that I can think of. It's a classic joint doing things the old way, and I love it.
This place was the best hot dog joint in town. They had the best tasting hot dogs. They always served Taillfer or Olymel hot dogs, they had a very good taste which made them different than all the other hot dog joints. They have recently changed to Lesters hot dogs and they taste horrible. They have become like all the other joints in town, The owner must og gotten a cheaper price from Lesters, but it shows in taste and Quality.
If I could rate this zero stars I would. The worst, prices are outrageous for a fri hotdog and drink. Service is terrible, dogs were uncooked... I would not recommend this to anyone.
Great food, standard price one of the best hot dogs and fries around... love it
Very good fries and Poutine and hot dogs they are specialized in that don't go if you are looking for a huge menu choice
Not the cheapest place for hot dogs and fries/poutine, but a staple in the area. Sitting in the dining area feels like home.
