Andover High School is a four-year public high school located at 2115 Andover Blvd, Andover, Minnesota.Andover High School Mission Statement: "Student focused, community supported, professionally recognized...a school to watch."Andover High School is a part of the Anoka-Hennepin School District 11 and is one of five regular high schools in the school district. This high school was built in the year 2002 and is the newest high school in District 11. The first class to graduate from Andover was in 2004, with the first class to graduate all four years from Andover was in 2006. Andover High School consists of students from both Andover and Ham Lake communities. The school has a student population of 1750 that are 1% Native American, 1% Hispanic, 2% Asian, 3% African American, and 93% Caucasian.AcademicsThe school participates in the University of Minnesota's College in the Schools program and offers Advanced Placement classes.SportsAndover offers 22 varsity sports and is part of the Northwest Suburban Conference and member of the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). Andover's main rival is Anoka High School. Each year the two schools compete for the "A-Town Cup" which is awarded to the school that wins the greater number of athletic contests between the schools.Andover High School and the other schools in the Anoka-Hennepin School District 11 have a combined team for adaptive sports. These students have the option to participate in: bowling, floor hockey, soccer and softball.
