The Rumriver Art Center is non profit organization that gives everyone the perfect place to explore their creativity in the visual arts.
In summer 2009 Larry Weinberg started teaching a few art classes to share his passion of art with kids. Along with Susan Yee, they added a few more art classes in fall for homeschooled students. Today the Rumriver art Center teaches classes to over 100 homeschooled students a week and over 100 students through art enrichment programs at local schools. Larry has a BFA in Fine Arts , 40 years of experience in art and 5 years of teaching children. The art program started with just a drawing class, but soon all kinds of visual arts classes were added. The Rum River Art Center now offers painting, watercolor, printing, sculpture mixed media, cartooning and more. The Rum River Art center fills the void of schools having to cut back their art programs, we give kids an opportunity to use high quality artist materials to grow artistically and build confidence.
