This place was superb. I don't want to let the secret out but because they do their best to accommodate, appreciate, and facilitate they need a shout out. You won't find a better place for the price. Actually I've not ever stayed at a place like this except at my Aunt's house. Family friendly, something for every age group, activity level, and personality. The room was large with kitchen, 2 rooms, a living room, and large patio. Wood everywhere so it required me to put fluffy socks on to keep my walking quieter. They have a sand area for kids, animal toys to sit on/in, a game room, fire pits, outdoor games, game room, and an amenities room open 24 hrs... Highly useful. Pizza restaurant which is genius with great hours. A fun beach path just a medium jaunt away. The only thing that I can even be slightly negative about is, if you're coming from the north, don't turn into the first driveway, it's the second. I pulled in where it says Anchor Inn and had a rough time backing out onto 101. That's the only negative. We loved this place, even the teens broke away from their electronics to enjoy this place. Great beds, pillows, and extra bedding. Gas stove also!
What a cute place! A great gathering area with gas and wood fire pits. A cute little game room, and lit up backyard area with croquet. They provide wood and s’mores free. The owner has really thought out a lot of little touches and conveniences that make this place very unique and cozy. The beds were very comfy, and the cabin rooms were very quaint and cozy. They had a sandbox for kids and some outdoor games as well for all ages. Will definitely be staying there again!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Anchor Inn Resort. The cabins, at least the one we were in, are what they say, cabins. They have a small bathroom/shower and a rustic coast feel, but for all the provided amenities combined with the ease of getting more of what you need from the supply room it was worth the price. I have a feeling if you had kids this place would be a great place to stay because of the courtyard and beach access
The amenities were nice. The game room, amenities room, smores, and fire pit were great ideas! However we found our room to be very dirty. The pull out couch was filled with crumbs and the couch cushions moist and sticky. The floors were filthy. We enjoyed the rest of the inn and spent out extra time out in the courtyard or in the game room. If we had a cleaner room next time we would 1000% come back!
What a pleasurable stay we had! Everything was great from the rooms to the on-site pizza/bar. Great place for family trips and they are pet friendly. Only thing that would make this my go to Oregon coast hotel would be parking for a boat. Will be back if we can find somewhere to stash the boat.Rooms: 5/5
This place was amazing for everything they offer, we had a great time and was super comfortable. The accommodations are great, couldn’t stream much because we couldn’t log into any streaming services on the Rokus but we still had a great time! Samantha did an amazing job keeping in contact with us and working with us making sure everything worked out smoothly for our arrival.
The most amazing, low-key, charming renovated old school travel motel. It has been mind blowingly turned into steamer rooms on a ship. A mix of old world meets Alice in Wonderland in the a adult and family friendly way UPDATE: Stayed again. So much fun! The pizza maker / bartender was delightfully salty. Room was great. A monsoon level storm made this the perfect place to hide out from the elements.
Kitschy, fun, wonderful find. Short walk to beach. So many perks! Very clean and dog friendly as well. Right off 101 but room was quiet. Great place that we will return to and recommend.Rooms: 5/5
A charming themed boutique hotel. Some ups, some downs, mostly ups. I traveled with my two daughters and myself. And stayed only one night. First, let me say, I have spent 10yrs working in hotel marketing. I'm a little biased and picky. But my experience is with boutiques and not franchises. This is a lovely themed hotel. I love what they owners have done with the place. Our experience overall was really enjoyable. My children loved the patio, the fire pit, the sand pit, playing Croquet out back and I appreciated that we were able to walk to the beach from the hotel. This was the first time my children ever saw the ocean, so being able to check in and then walk to the beach for an hour, was fantastic. Also, there is a great breakfast place across the street, I will mention at the end of my review. Also, the amenities room and the game room are just wonderful. If you are traveling with kids and have some dirty laundry, this is GREAT. I really appreciated having the free washer and dryer there. Sure, a chain hotel might have this on site, and might have more units, but it will be coin operated. This was such a life safer. They also have an onsite restaurant/bar. We ordered the pizza. It was good, but I don't know if it was worth $15 for a 10 inch that could have been from a frozen box.... but.. you know, you're paying for the convenance. They brought it to our room, and I didn't have to drive some place. After a long drive getting into town, this was nice. Dad had himself an Old Fashion and we roasted s'mores. The patio area is great, and like I said, if you have kids, they can play and socialize with other kids. And there were a number of other families staying when I stayed. Who also made use of the space and also did s'mores. The s'more kits are a nice touch, btw. My, Nit-Picks. While the website mentioned the Key-less mobile access, I would STRONGLY recommend if the owner is reading these reviews, you need to update the website. THEY DO NOT HAVE AN ONSITE LOBBY. It's a virtual self service lobby. You don't go to a human to check in. You get a text message, and download the app. Now this is cool. I use this for my AirB&B rentals. BUT.... I all I saw on the website was "Office hours are 11am-5pm daily." - which left me panicked that I had to get there by 5pm to check in. No where on the website is AUTOMATED CHECKIN mentioned. GUYS, this is a SELLING point. It was awesome. But I rushed to get there by 5pm, so this is my nit pick. Spell this out somewhere on your website. Let people know the check in process. I even walked around the hotel confused until I found the little check in sign by the lobby. You've already got some great automation in place. You need to get this detail automated to make people aware. Just a minor detail. Second nit-pick - The cabins don't have AC.... like really? Not a huge deal. There was a fan in the closet... but.... not sure I wanted to leave my windows open and it was a touch warm in our cabin. I dunno, if the automation is saving you money, consider investing in a mini-split or overhead ceiling fans. Something. Third nit-pick - I'm a not a huge dude. And I'm used to showering in an Airstream. But, if you are a tall person and overweight, which according to the CDC 78% of Americans are now considered obese, well, you will think the showers in the cabins are small. I thought it was kind of fitting. But the shower head placement in #2 is weird. I didn't take a photo, but it's as if they want all the water out on the floor. Still, good enough for me. Just a minor detail. Not going to ruin your stay in the slightest. FINAL THOUGHTS This hotel was fun. We will return, and I'll bring my whole family. I will recommend this place as well to friends and family. This is a great choice. There is also a great breakfast place within walking distance called Otis Cafe. I highly recommend checking it out.
We LOVED our stay here and will be staying again in the future! We booked the family cabin for just one night- but wished so badly to stay longer! Our room was very comfortable and decorated super cute and homey. 2 separate bedrooms, a private porch and all the amenities made it feel more like a beach house and less like a stuffy hotel room! This place is SUPER family friendly- they have so much for kids to do- and they encouraged us to let the kids be kids! I didn't feel like I had to corral them in the room or silence them. They were allowed to just be silly and have FUN! Smores kits are provided in the room with a heated porch and fireplace area for roasting some mallows, covered sand box, sand toys for the kiddos in the courtyard, a mini golf course, oh- and even a game room. Snacks, coffee pods k-cups, cups and such in the commons area with little stands with extras in the hallways near the rooms, as well Free washer and dryer, extra towels, blankets, etc. in the amenities room. Keurigs in the rooms- with all things you need for a delicious cup of coffee AND- they have good k cup options- also, all the coffee and fixins are unlimited. They have tons of snacks and drinks for purchasing and great prices for them, super cheap! Also- the woman who runs the property was AMAZING! She is extremely inviting- walked us to our room and made sure we had anything and everything we could possibly need to make our stay extremely enjoyable! 100% recommend this adorable little resort, and as I said before, we WILL absolutely be returning!
