Ampersand Bakehouse

I love this little coffee shop and bakery. One of the best hot chocolates I've ever had, their treats are delicious and the service is great. If you're in the neighborhood, make sure to visit Ampersand.

Had to make my way to Ampersand Bakehouse today as I read about it in BlogTO. I ordered a pink champagne cupcake and a vanilla sprinkle one, as well as a marshmallow smore and a marshmallow latte. I could pass on the latte on future visits as it was on the sweeter side for me. However, the cupcakes absolutely blew my mind. They are topped with some of the best buttercream I've ever had on a cupcake: velvety-smooth, milky tasting and not too sweet. You can taste the champagne in the Pink Champagne cupcake, which is very unique and inventive. Five stars for service and ambiance. This is such a cute little bakehouse and I will be back to try their other cupcakes made for adults.

Great selection of tasty treats, coffees, teas and hot chocolates. Even have frozen cookie dough to make them at home. Super friendly staff are always happy to help.

A favourite stop of mine along the Danforth. I always have an amazing experience in the shop and with the staff and ALWAYS leave with something DELICIOUS. I also love that they always have a selection of vegan baked goods, which can be hard to come by at times and thus very much appreciated. Overall amazing quality of products and lovely atmosphere in the shop. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful quiet spot to enjoy rich on-site baked desserts from the bustle of the Danforth. No WiFi yet but its such an enjoyable place with decent and strong coffee. Gift cards available with party supplies as well as popsicles, cookies and cupcakes. They have a roomy area and ramp that is wheelchair friendly. Orders are available in advance too. A must for visiting if you need a place to stop for a dessert while cruising the Danforth.

Very delicious cupcakes. So creamy and not too sweet! A great spot to grab a coffee and a sweet treat. They also have a little space now for kiddos to play!

Provided the most beautiful 3 tier cake for my parents 50th anniversary. We all agreed the champagne flavour was the best cake we ever had. Thank you!

Steph has a penchant for turning out tasty treats such as cookie, cupcakes, squares, and the like. I'm not sure where or how she comes up with these delicious recipes but THANK GOD she did or I wouldn't have known I had a sweet tooth! But in all seriousness, she is a wonderful and relatable soul with a mind filled with creativity and purpose. It may be a small shop, but it's big at heart....and taste! Oh....almost forgot‍ I had the hazelnut date and ginger chai cookies.. ahem..as well as the marshmallow topped chocolate cupcake....NO JUDGING

Nice bakery, good cupcakes. One of the cupcakes icing was frozen solid, rest were ok. Kid friendly setup but the guy at the front is kind of rude. I was going to put something in the car parked right out front and he yells from behind the counter "you can't leave the kids here!". I wasn't leaving them for daycare. I would have been hardly gone for 30 seconds. But I didn't want to argue in front of the kids, so sat down, waited for the kids to finish hor cocoa and cupcakes and then left. My eldest one is grown up and 5 ft btw. I wasn't leaving babies crawling on the floor.
