A quiet Filipino bakery/grill restaurant, located just off 32nd ave. Beautiful, quaint and cozy atmosphere. Great bakery selection and good variety of grilled dishes at comparable prices of other Filipino bakeries and grills. Don't forget to check out their party platters!
Happy Filipino Restaurant Month! This April is the first year this event is taking place in YYC - so glad I decided to check it out here at Amihan! I got the event special Prix-fixe not on their regular menu and starter platter for the fried goods. Everything tasted great and the restaurant is very quiet so I'd love if you go visit and try some of their delicious food! There's not many Filipino restaurants in Calgary and I can definitely recommend this one. They also have desserts and baked goods available for purchase! Great hidden gem located in the same strip mall as Cakeworks. Authentic Filipino food at very reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and the portions we're big enough to take the wife leftovers!
We enjoyed the prix fixe menu for Filipino Restaurant Month 3 courses for 25$; good value, the main course with sticky rice in banana leaf, inasal chicken and cauliflower side wins, and great value for the group meal and starter platter generous portions. They also have a bakeshop, their ube macapuno cake and pandesal were yum. It was our first time dining here on Saturday and we liked it so much so that we came back with another group the following day, good food and service
Great place for Filipino food! You order at the counter and your meal is brought to you. Loved the BBQ Liempo! Very reminiscent of how I had it in the Phils. - so glad I got the 2pc. I think next time I'll do extra rice but that's just how I am. I'd love to try their special occasion buffet when I get the chance and when I'm in town again!
First time visiting this place. We heard a lot of good feedback from our friends and they were right. I especially love the bbq sauce they use for liempo and the complimentary pandesal is probably the best of all I tried here in Canada. And the ube macapuno cake & crinkles is sooo good. Recommended!
Very good grilled items — if you’re missing Filipino inihaw, this is the place to go. Place is clean, very pleasant atmosphere. Staff very professional and very unobtrusive. You can barely hear them talking to each other in the kitchen. Highly recommended!
Definitely and absolutely authentic yummy Filipino taste of food and pastries! Super thank you for 100% great service and most amazing greatness cuisine! Thank you sa chef owner for making a memorable birthday blast for my daughter!!! #bestFOODever #greatSERVICEsuperYUMMYfood
I'm impressed with the interior of the restaurant. Simple yet cozy. Chicken inasal is one of the best sellers. I liked the chicken inasal as well. The food portions are big—specially the pork ribs. One serving of pork ribs has 2 slabs that can be shared. The taste of Filipino street food was also captured by Amihan. Siomai, kikiam and fish plus their sauces are must try! They also sell cakes and breads that you can enjoy at home.
I went to have dinner with my friends and it was very friendly environment. Food was amazing with lots of flavours. Very nice people and great service! Must be recommending
