I love going to the dentist! I have been going to Altima for about five years, maybe more. I chose Dr. Chater to be our dentist my first visit there when I overheard his interactions with another patient/client. I said that was who I wanted for a dentist. He was so great with that person and has been great with us as well. Megan is our dental hygienist. She is super sweet and pretty amazing with my son and says the nicest things about him! I couldn’t appreciate her more! Thanks Megan
I've always had a fear of dentists, thanks to a bad experience when I was younger. But from the minute I walked into Altima Dental all I felt was the warm welcome. Dr.Chater and his team made me feel safe and comfortable and made the experience a pleasant one. I'm happy that I've finally found a dental office where the people actually CARE about their patients.
I had work done there and came every six months for a cleaning. They stuff was mixed, sometimes friendly, sometimes not. I am on a fixed income and don’t have everything covered. They would make me call the insurance place to find out what is covered and the insurance people would only talk to them. The thing that made me leave is I had work done, they didn’t explain what “we will have to find a better solution later paraphrased, a bit,” meant, which turned out to mean that work done wasn’t a permanent fix and a tooth came out didn’t tell me that could happen - very shocked - when it happened and solutions would cost $800-$3000 to repair. Had they explained any of that to me, I could have put money aside and been prepared when the tooth needed “a better solution,” or to be replaced. I know a lot of businesses run like this, they don’t care about you - unless you have money. Still, it is dehumanizing experience. After posting this review I’m not sure if people can see/read it Altima wrote to me - they are unable to find my name in their system and asked if I have the correct place. It doesn’t shock me that they can’t find my name in their files. It is nothing short of insulting to suggest that I may not have the correct place for review, I know exactly where I went. And there is a PICTURE and ADDRESS so clearly displayed and attached to this review. Thank you for further illustrating the type of care Altima Kingston Dental Care provides. As I stated previously - I prefer not to do business with Altima - so, NO I won’t call to talk about my experience.
Super experience all around.. I recently had a tooth extraction and the Dr. and assistant were perfect. Both were courteous and helpful and highly professional. Five Stars all around. I couldn't be happier with the operation and the results.
I called yesterday and they told me they were booked until November and to call back if I couldn't get in anywhere else, today when I call back after calling places all day yesterday all of a sudden they can't get me in now. Yesterday they could except new patients but today they cant... Horrible customer service. They know I have been dealing with a abscess for 6 months and won't book me a appointment. Should tell you all you need to know about how they feel about patients.
Megan is the best hygienist and always makes the cleaning process as pain-free as possible. The whole staff is friendly and kind!
Altima Dental Clinic should never receive a bad review! Dr. Chater is amazing, I have always hated going to dentists! He has changed my views on that! Most pleasant dentist I have ever met, explains everything in detail, never does work you don't need! He has done extensive dental surgery on myself and my husband, with awesome results! All my sons go to him as well! Wouldn't go anywhere else after meeting Dr. Chater. And all his staff are amazing as well! The most friendly group of gals! Everyone makes you feel important and so comfortable being there, they make everyone so much more relaxed about being at a dentist office! Cannot say enough great things about Dr. Chater and everyone who works there! I would give it 10 stars if I could!
My family moved to the Altima Dental Clinic after 25 years of being with another Clinic where our care seemed to deteriorate over time. We cannot say enough about the fabulous care we are receiving. Dr. Chater is an outstanding dentist and is always responsive to the needs of our oral health. He is down to earth and explains the reasons for moving forward with a particular procedure in a way that allows us to make sometimes hard decisions about next steps. You are never surprised because he talks to you throughout procedures. He is compassionate and caring as well as skilled and was truly a blessing for our family. We couldn't be happier with our decision to start going to Altima Kingston.
absolutely nothing negative to say about the staff at Altima Kingston Dental Centre!!! just a fun bunch of extremely friendly & helpful staff! if you're looking for a new dentist, you should definitely start here!!!!!
I went to have a chipped tooth fixed. It was done very fast and they made sure I was fully frozen before starting. The staff was so nice as well!
