Old school but not old fashioned. Had lunch on a rainy Saturday, fish and chips were better than most places - rare to have non-frozen, freshly battered fish. Frozen glass steins of New Belgium dark lager from a pitcher added to the experience, and a Reuben sandwich was also enjoyed by my fellow diner.

Food, room and staff are all top drawer. Only issue I have is, in their memoirs they don't mention Prince Castle hamburgers or One in a Millions, the Glen Ellyn News Agency, Patch Brothers Hardware Store. Masons or McAllisters. The Bust Bee Barber Shop or The Bobby Rivers Dance Studio! Come On!Food: 5/5
Old-school burger tavern. Good burgers & giod vslue. Love the onion rings. I'd guess they make other foods well. However, I'm not in the area enough to test, LOL!Food: 5/5
Have been going there for Decades, even at their old location, and no other burger quite does it for me. Hadn't been there for a while, due to moving, and popped in for an Amigo Burger with swiss, med rare, and it was better than ever. When so many places have dropped their quality to help with profit margins it was so comforting to know Alfies is still making the best burger for the buck, bar none.
Wish I could try more items on the menu, but I love their burgers too much to order anything else.
Awesome burgers. Corned beef was juicy and tender. Great old fashion cocktail. This is an old school joint that has weathered the test of time with great food and amazing service. If you're any where with in driving distance its a must to go to
Old timey, dark wood booths, paneling, local bar and seating area with a solid burger/chicken sandwich. To be fair, other entrees may be delicious...would go back to try them.Food: 3/5
I have been a customer if Alfies for many years. Since the old location at Park and Roosevelt. I stopped in today for lunch. I noticed the prices were higher which is very common in today's world. What I did not like was being charged extra to use my credit card. Rubs me the wrong way. Will never go back.
Pristine 1960s supper club vibes and a sandwich-heavy menu that did not disappoint! Coffee was also quite good for a restaurant like this.
