Small terrace but sunny in the evening. Service is pretty bad...so do not expect crazy things from that perspective.Just go there for the sun and the terrace. Overall a nice place to enjoy a beer. But not more than that. Beer was not cold. Was more like warm...so again, just be prepared.
Interesting bar, in the middle of what's currently industrial units, building sites, and car garages. Soon to be a buzzing technology hub from what I'm told. Plenty of beer available, with wine and some spirits too. It's an industrial box with benches, festoon lighting and a bar. There's some toilets and an ATM in the corner behind a bit of wall. The guests are friendly, the barstaff less so - but that's a part of the charm to me. If you're going somewhere for table service and all around smiles from somebody that wants a big tip - this might not be the place for you. If you want a place where you'll get thanked for leaving a tip? Again, might not be the place for you. If you want a no fuss bar with good beer and no expectations, give it a whirl! From a Brit that's happy with basic bar service.
Cool hípster hang...night market has a great feel.
Cool place, I like the fact it’s kind of hidden. They have a nice patio, probably only open during the summer. Interesting and creative drinks, beer a little but pricey. Style is completely hipster, great music selection.
I don't think I am the target audience for this place. It is basically a bar with some outdoor picnic tables to sit at which get really uncomfortable after an hour or so. The only food they serve is a small taco stand out front I hear food trucks also pass some times which does not give much choice however they are quite good and the price is excellent as well. The drinks on the other hand where not so good and on the pricier side for the quality and size, they tasted very watery, the bar is of course cash only and worst of all people smoke and vape at the picnic tables. Not sure the appeal but to each their own.
It's a bar built inside an old parking garage with an adjacent brewery. Nicely setup and with a pleasant atmosphere. The house Lager they sell you, while still a pretty decent beer, is locally distributed under the name 'Vieux Montreal' and sells for a bit more than a dollar a can but the brick and mortar experience is well worth the extra few bucks.
3 star rating, but without resentment! 3 stars because, well honestly, it's not like the staff would want to be rated more on Google! I mean, this place is pretty cool for small groups, but not necessarily for the out-of-towners looking for a place that will cater to their every wishes: the ambiance is whatever you make it.
This is a brilliant summer night hangout spot - beautifully lit interesting inside and out, prices on the low side, a great cocktail night on Tuesdays, a large outside terrasse, and if you catch the timing right you can pick up some delicious BBQ from the stall outside. Equally suited to a quick pit-stop drink or to an all-night hang.
Alexandraplatz is a dream I hope I never have to wake up from. It almost seems too magical to last. Maybe because it’s only open in the summer, it always feels like a treat to go. This bar is Marie Kondo’s wildest minimalist fantasy. There are maybe ten things on the menu but they’re all great. They also host great events all summer long - wine nights and taco nights and a food truck festival. It’s utterly instragramable - bring your out of town friends if you want to impress them with your cool Montreal life.
Cozy little hipster bar. Feels like you're having a beer in your friend's garage. Craft beer there is delicious! Make sure to bring gold coins and beaver pelts to pay. They don't take cards.
