Authentic Mexican restaurant in White Rock. Second time here and we always enjoyed their food albeit the wait. We enjoyed the appetizers to our main courses plus their churros, one of the best. The location is near the boardwalk and a good view of the beach too. Service is great and everyone was very pleasant and hospitable. We will surely be back.
Quick service, great customer service , quality food, good atmosphere. Came here on a Friday night and got a patio seat right away. Our waitress was immediately welcoming and she continued to be throughout our meal. She gave us great recommendations! Food prices are on the higher end but was well worth it. Margarita - 2oz but didn’t taste much alcohol at all. Not worth it. Ceviche - refreshing and savory. The chips were a bit too thick for my liking but the sauce/base of the ceviche was a great blend of tang and spices. Would recommend. Enchiladas - smothered in a thick savory sauce. Shredded chicken was marinated and blended well with the sauce and other toppings. Very tasty with explosion of different flavors in your mouth. Mahi tacos - very light and refreshing for deep fried fish. Flavor of all the different ingredients were a bit light but the waitresses recommended hot sauce was the perfect pairing.
Last night we decided to test Alebrijes kitchen and bar in White Rock. The view of the sunset was breath taking! We started out with of course Margarita and a Moscow Mule w/ Grey goose. Chips were fresh, gauc was pleasant! For the main meal we had Taco Al Pastor with hand made tortillas and pineapple chutney delicious! CochinIta Pibil de Pork Belly was so tender, You can cut with a fork! Super impressed with the flavours on this dish! Chile verde was made with poblano chilli’s We loved the authentic Mexican flavours. A must try Christian the owner was accommodating and very pleasant. P.S food was not salty
My new favorite restaurant. The dishes I've tried are all what I would consider classic comfort food, but prepared and presented in a elevated fashion. Flavors are well balanced and obviously carefully considered. It seems like they make everything they can from scratch including hot sauces. The dishes don't appear overwhelmingly large on sight, but the the meat portions are more generous than I expected and the food is very rich, so I've left feeling very full every time. The service is friendly and professional, with staff who clearly love the food and have a deep understanding of the menu. Good cocktails and an extensive tequila selection, really round out the experience. And it's definitely worth trying a dessert if you have the appetite for it. They make a really nice french press coffee as well, if that's what you want with dessert. For me this feels like mexican fine dining food in a casual and welcoming environment. I personally find it consistently cool inside, but this may be because we always sit by the winfiw. If you like to be cozy, make sure you're wearing something warm if I'm in a t-shirt I tend to end up with my jacket back on fairlyquickly.
We LOVED this!! The service. The decor. The energy. The view. And the food...ohhhhh the food. YUM YUM YUM! We have done pick up from here twice during the pandemic but this was our first time eating there. Deee-licious! I had the soft shell crab tacos. My dining companions had the enchiladas, the chimichanga and the Mole Alebrijes. They also made me a virgin pineapple jalapeño margarita that was sooo yummy and the perfect compliment to dinner.
My boyfriend and I, were in a-little over a week ago now, and I’ve been meaning to write a review on our amazing experience! We ordered an appy and then shared a main course.. the food was outstanding! And our server was a delight! They have a giant selection of tequila! When I had mentioned one of the bottles looked interesting, I asked my server about it, and the were so quick to tell my the information on the bottle. A gentleman named Diego then came out of his way to bring multiple different bottles to our table and explained them all thoroughly! He told us if we ever wanna come to try different tequila he has a mass selection and is knowledgeable to help us find what we are looking for! I’ve never had anyone seem so passionate about the bar they work for! I also work on the beach and have been recommending this place since! Really really authentic food and atmosphere! We will be frequenting this place
I recently visited this Mexican restaurant and was disappointed with the quality of the food. While the restaurant was expensive, the food was charred and burnt, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal. My dining partner and I both ordered vegetarian dishes, and unfortunately, both were burnt. Unlike in US, there are no free chips and salsa coming to table. Fajitas are $34!! $18 gets you three tiny tacos! Over all it is super expensive. The burnt flavor was overpowering and made it difficult to taste any of the other ingredients. The blackened edges of the vegetables were unappetizing and made the dishes appear as if they were not prepared with care. Despite the burnt food, the service at the restaurant was good. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant. However, the food quality greatly impacted the overall experience. In summary, while the location, service and ambiance of the restaurant were good, the burnt and charred quality of the food was disappointing. Given the high price point of the restaurant, I expected a higher quality dining experience, and unfortunately, that was not delivered. I hope the restaurant can improve the quality of their food to match the standards of their service and ambiance.
Extremely friendly staff and authentic food! Everything is so delicious, but I especially love their tacos and margaritas! They make their own sauces too! Beautiful location. Don't forget to wear sunscreen on the patio!
Alebrijes was fantastic and I will definitely be back. Pictures are the beef dip tacos and the brisket tacos. Both were absolutely delicious Highly recommend the beef dip tacos and definitely make me want to return. They also have incredible chips, which are definitely the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been there multiple times now, so I’ve added more photos. Still 5/5! The owner Diego has great energy.
I visited Alebrijes with my family last Sunday. A staff member I believe the manager/owner saw us looking at the menu outside and invited us in, assured us that they could make the food not spicy whatsoever for my mom who can't handle spicy. They were really attentive, the food was delicious, the ambience is beautiful and the music was awesome! 10/10 recommend.
