Very nice park. It is huge! It has several types of trails according to difficulty level. Good signalling. Plenty of parking which is included in the entrance fee. Washrooms are clean but in specific locations, so most likely you’ll need to drive or go in your bike to get to them. While hiking, we saw several families camping in their designated campgrounds, which was really cool. If visiting in summer, bring repellent, sunscreen, food , water and a hat! It is HUGE and you can spend here 3-4 hours at minimum.
Great quiet place to go mountain biking and camping and hiking and swimming. Went on a Thursday and there were very few people camping other than the permanent resident campers. They even had a cabin that you could rent if you did not have a tent. Once you find them, the bike trail routes were well marked. There is a one way direction you should be travelling in. There is a great pool that was not that busy, and we were sad to have not brought swim suits.
A must visit for family and big gatherings, the staff is so helpful and friendly. The park is huge but is divided in sections sonyou can enjoy qnd not feel crowded they have a pool that is big enough to not feel overwhelmed. There is a lot of trails and a main are parking lot making space not an issue. They hqve ice on site so is an added bonus for a fee. Overall a 5 star park would recommend. Playground: Nice little playground that is situated close to pool and big enough for kids to enjoy. Restrooms: There located next to pool and have lots of amenities and clean. Dog-friendliness: Parknis dog friendly and plent of free space for dogs to walk and enjoy. Picnic area: Plenty of open space lots of tables and like how theyvare positioned around trees for shade and shelter.
Gorgeous area. Only the "Black Trail" was open when I went in Jan 2022. Snow-covered ravine at the end of the trail was magical. Snow-shoeing, skiing, and fat biking were available on-site depending on the weather conditions. Only did hiking. Admission was a tad pricey. Trails were clearly marked. East Caledon was beautiful - make sure to drive through Old Church Road and Olde Baseline Road for some scenic views.
Last time I went there was about 20 years ago. I was looking for the lake that was there then, and their map show it as well. But! The lake is there NO longer! found this out by Googleing it - they drained the lake in 2018!. We found their maos and signs on trails were very outdated, and at one point we could not find the continuation of one trail as the signs just disappeared. Also, the trails were fun at first, but it seems the bikers are Albion Hill's priority, as the trails were accommodating them.more than hikers. I would go there again for a fall or winter hike , though there were no breath taking scenery ,now that the lake is gone too.
Lots of trails, animal sightings, educational signs and beautiful landscapes! — Great place for all 4 seasons, lots to do, won't get through it all in a day, you can even camp the nightVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
More of a bike trail than a hiking place. Missing are the scenic views that one expects on a trail. The lake that you may still see on Google was drained out in 2018 and there is one stream that sometimes crosses the trails. Some good open spaces but not next to parking.
Was good but closed due to winter. It has a pool splash and many more things to do in summer. One can enjoy with their family here in summer.
This is a beautiful park, perfect for snowshoeing and hikes. The entrance fee was about 8 bucks and there were not many cars on a Friday morning.Visited onWeekday
It was alright. Pretty small for what it is, especially the pool. However the surrounding woods and greenery made for some excellent photography shots! 5/10 Picnic area: Picnic area seems way too small. Considering the amount of people there it just didn't make sense.
