I just signed up for this coverage and the service was fantastic. Working with Delores I was able to pick the plan that fit with me and she sent me a quote within a couple minutes. Delores was a pleasure to work with on this. After reviewing the information with my spouse I enrolled on the website and it was very easy and extremely quick. Whoever designed this site should get an award. To the best of my memory it it the quickest, most painless enrollment that I have ever gone through. So 5 stars for Delores and the website.
Many thanks to Jamie Storey, the Alberta Blue Cross representative who helped me to understand and upgrade my coverage. I'm a senior. Jamie explained the coverage options for my dental and prescription coverage. Her patient and professional explanation allowed me to make an informed choice and substantially improve my coverage for a modest increase in premium. Wow!! Jamie also helped me understand travel insurance and my new plan also allows me to travel with enhanced protection in my retirement years. Double Wow!! Thank you Jamie Storey. Thank you Blue Cross. I'm fortunate to be a Canadian and an Albertan.
I am extremely disappointed with Alberta Blue Cross. We purchased a plan for my partner and I. We found that it barely covered anything compared to the premiums we paid. When we decided to cancel they made the process as difficult as possible. Telling us that fax or snail mail were the only way to send a signed form of cancellation. After going out of our way to both fax and mail on our cancellation forms they called to let us know our fax did it come through fully. This is extremely disappointing that a company of this stature would not have a more advanced way to cancel one’s plan, considering everything else is done online. I would highly recommend going with another health insurance provider.

She emailed me the coverage options and quotes within minutes, followed by relevant printed matters upon my request. I'm incredibly pleased with the quality of customer service provided to me and I appreciate Blue Cross treat customers with care and professionalism. Naomi Wong is definitely a valuable member of the customer service team. I recommended her to my sister too.
I just signed up through Sukhman, and would definitely recommend working with him! He was incredibly helpful and lovely to talk to, walking me through everything I needed to know about coverage, limitations, and what it all meant going forward. As it's my first time dealing with individual health insurance, this was all very appreciated!
Times can be rough for anyone and sadly in my personal experience, those closest to you can be the least interested in our sufferings. I have had an extremely difficult past few years and I can say honestly there are genuine, compassionate, caring individuals that are total strangers that are rebuilding my joy in living again. There are definitely a few I do want to publicly acknowledge as my "personal hero's" and will be forever grateful for your genuine humanity coming first. Melanie has been another "human" I am so happy helping me with reinstating a canceled acct and more. Blue cross in general deserves a shout out IMV as well. Thank you again Melanie, cheers and stay well.
DO NOT USE THIS. I was put on a “bridge” plan and was told I can still submit claims for my medication. I kept paying my monthly bills and was not able to submit any claims. When I reached out to see what was happening I was told I can’t submit any claims and didn’t get any other replies despite trying to get in touch multiple times. Their customer service is pure garbage and their plans are priced ridiculously for not having any coverage. I was robbed.
In terms of actual plans, they are great and have solid value, anything beyond that is a nightmare. if you ever have to file a claim that isn't bare bones or straight forward get ready for the most infuriating time of your life. I made a claim for orthotics 3 months ago and it is still in process, finally I found time to call and ask what could possibly take this long to be met with the answer of "oh you just need these forms" first of all the fact that I had to reach out 3 months later with 0 contact from them should tell you enough, 2nd i submitted ALL the forms they requested but apparently it wasn't enough so here I am running around to get them again. 3rd I'm told that there was a message on the claim itself that I can see, which was also false it just says in process with absolutely no more information for me. bottom line if you are expecting any sort of customer service expect the quality to be below that of any sort of government organization. Incredibly disappointed with how little they actually care.
Completed a call with Cathy Scafe. She was most detailed and patient in providing all the information for me to evaluate my options as I enter a different phase of my life retirement. Her demeanor, patience, and knowledge was exceptional and the use of plain language made it easy for me to understand. I wish I had this interactions with others agencies ,as patience toward seniors is not in abundance...shame. Thank you Cathy for making a difference.
I would like to take the time to say thank you to Sara who first took my call when I inquired about upgrading my insurance plan with Blue Cross. Sara forwarded my call to a very well-informed co-worker named Melanie Simons who explained in great detail the various Blue Cross plans, their benefits and how they would each apply to my own specific needs. Melanie was very patient with me because I had many questions. Not one time did I feel rushed and pressed to make a decision. After it became clear which plan best suited me, I renewed my membership with Blue Cross. Thank you, Sara and Melanie for all your care and attention.
