Nice little place. The food tasted pretty good. The service is pretty fast. The waitress is very nice. The skillet was really good I had to order it without the veggies but really good. Pancakes were alright nothing to special but good.
The food is so delicious. My friend has breakfast and I had lunch Liver and onions, and yes I know it’s an acquired taste. The liver was tender and full of flavor. Great portions for your pocketbook.
Al's was delicious. We parked in the back, they have 4 spaces available. There was an outdoor eating area with a covered tent but we chose an indoor booth because the weather was cool. My dad and two boys joined me. We ordered the same meal, the two eggs breakfast, specialized to our liking. It came with grits or hash browns & toast or pancakes. The food was delicious and came out of the kitchen quickly! I almost finished it all in one sitting. Our server and many other servers were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant. Dietary restrictions: They offer turkey sausage and turkey bacon options for breakfast.
My wife said let's try some place and suggested Al's and what a great pick. The atmosphere is very homey and the food is delicious. The staff is very attentive and they really know all of their customers names. A wonderful place for a great breakfast.
We recently moved to Oak Park and we found one of the best neighborhood breakfast restaurants in the town. The food was delicious. I had the Al's Skillet and it was so good. The service was good, just had to find the waitress a few times for my coffee refill but she was very pleasant. The atmosphere was nice, it just feels very homie, like a neighborhood place. I'm only half a block away so I expect to be a regular there. I definitely recommend this place.
Al's was good, not great. Loved the environment. Great window exposure. Excellent coffee. But our portions were on the small side we ordered breakfast. The food was good and reasonably priced for the area.
Great burgers, great breakfast and great people at this family-owned diner. I have gotten diner, take-out and delivery and they never disappoint. Great food for a hangover! We love Al’s!!!
I have been here a few times and I am always so delighted with my order! The pasta dishes taste so fresh and authentic. The restaurant feels intimate and is a good place for a date night.
Went to Al's Grill for the first time ever, and I must say- I have mixed feelings about the place. The food was not terrible- but my buddy and I got some funky tasting Skillets. Nothing to be astounded by, however the staff was very friendly and courteous. I couldn't finish my food, and for the first time, I'm glad I couldn't. I made room for desert at Margie's!
I enjoy stopping by Al's for breakfast. They have traditional breakfast items that are well prepared and tasteful. I recommend giving them a try for breakfast if you're in the area.Food: 4/5
