We strive to give everyone the very best that we possibly can to provide an incredible experience both on and off the water. It is, in our obviously biased opinion, the best fly-in fishing lodge experience in Manitoba... or even Canada! We call that the "Aikens Experience".

After hearing many people talk so highly of Aikens, my son and I were fortunate enough to experience it for ourselves. And it did not disappoint! Our guide Skip was fun, knowledgeable and put us on so many walleye. We had a master and joined the Aikens Century Club. Wow. The food was non stop and so incredibly good. And the service was nothing short of 5 star from the greeting at the dock, to the restaurant and in Big Molly's bar. Very strongly recommend Aikens. Thank you to Pit for being so helpful in making this work for us. We will be back! Than
The Aikens experience is something you have to must do! I have been there twice most recently with my 2 oldest children ages 23 & 25. The staff is amazing, friendly, intelligent and entertaining. The fishing is exceptional and you can count on catching many many walleye and pike. The shore lunches are incredible and powered by fish you’ll catch in the mornings. Expect to leave 5 pounds heavier and 100 times more rested. Don’t miss it!!!
What are you waiting for, stop reading reviews and just go? You won't regret it, everything is amazing. Accommodations, fishing, guides, staff, food shore lunch, drinks... all amazing. WARNING! If you usually keep count of the number of fish caught during a trip, you might be disappointed. We stopped counting within the first two hours on the lake. So when we got back people would ask us how many fish we caught and could only answer: I honestly don't know, I didn't have time to count them we had to reel them in. Case in point, on our first evening outing we caught three walleyes at the same time in the same boat twice. Yes, the fishing is that crazy good.
Our company took a group of 18 accounts to Aikens Lake and the trip did not disappoint. Amazing fishing, excellent customer service, truly professional fishing guides, and the best food you will find. Worth every dollar… We actually resigned a contract for 2023 to return. Thanks Pit, Julie, & Team.
With my Dad and I hitting milestone birthdays this year, we splurged on a trip with my two sons in early July. It was the perfect experience for us - we caught a load of fish including large pickerel and pike, ate great food, did some cliff jumping, stayed in spacious accommodations and our guides were both attentive and laid back depending on the mood. With everything taken care of we could focus on purely enjoying ourselves. Amazing experience I will highly recommend. Thanks Aikens!
I have just returned from my 25th visit to Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge. Pit and Julie and their team provided my daughter and me with outstanding fishing opportunities, shore lunch meals, and on-shore amenities that included excellent meals and accommodations. I’ve been delighted to share the Aikens experience with my dad for many years, my son, and now my daughter. While the Canadian wilderness setting is unmatched, what really sets Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge apart is its team of people. The guides Skip was our excellent and patient guide this year, dining, hospitality and management team truly make the experience special.
First trip to Aikens Lake after being on a few other Canadian fly in fishing trips. The most distinguishing thing about Aikens is the team and staff. The owners/leadership of Aikens have done a superior job in modeling and setting the standard of performance and customer service very high for all the staff and it shows. There is a very high attentiveness to service and guest experience that are unmatched. This is a welcomed change from the constantly declining personal touch that is seen in much of the travel industry. The evidence of teamwork was very obvious and this does not just "happen" without the strong commitment of leadership/owners. I wish these guys could give lessons to other organizations on how to run a great operation and make every guest feel the desire of the staff to maximize each guest's experience. Add to that the amazing beauty, excellent fishing, and great guides, and you have a combination that is unbeatable. A trip my son and I will remember and cherish. Thanks team Aikens Lake!
Have just come back from a trip to Aikens Lake. How many thoughts can I squeeze in here because there are so many. Arriving there is like being in outdoor Disneyland the grounds are extraordinary the buildings so very cool and the facilities are amazing. The team did a great job with Covid protocols and making this experience incredible. The fishing was top notch, caught my first ever Lake Trout and a Master too! The shore lunches are unreal and the meals at the lodge outstanding. You can see how in normal times you’d spend a few nights at Big Molly’s bar having a fun and it was fun even during Covid. The one thing that does not get said enough is the beach at the lodge is incredible!! Went swimming every day and the water was crystal clear. Can’t recommend this lodge enough as the fishing will reward and challenge you well and the memories will be forever.
It is hard to say what is better - the fishing, the accommodations, the food, or the service. The fishing is better than anywhere I have ever been, 20+ inch walleye were very common even right off of the dock. The cabins were clean and comfortable, with AC and heat as well as a large bathroom with full sized shower we were in Master Angler's Row. The food was fantastic, starting with a huge breakfast with many choices, shore lunch that included walleye caught minutes before prepared. Dinner ranged from steak to chicken parmesan - all were excellent. The service was off the charts, whether it was our servers at our meals in the lodge or our guides on the lake. You can tell that all of the employees have pride in their jobs and it shows. We have been to Aikens several times, and the experience is better every time. Can't wait until our next trip!
We stayed at Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge in early June. The place is beautiful and well run by the owners. The fishing was very good. The guides were great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
