Ahi Sushi

Was curious about this 5 star place so we decided to try it. Came in for lunch and it wasn’t crowded, plenty of seats available. It’s clean as well. We tried the karaage, tonkatsu, osaka roll recommended and mango avocado roll. They have good portions for the price. And for that they deserve the 5 stars! Will come back to try their other dishes.

I am a very picky person when it comes to Japanese food, but I can give this restaurant a perfect rating without any hesitation. With sashimi and sushi, freshness of ingredients and neat preparation are key, and I'm glad they nailed it on both counts. The sashimi was soft and sweet; the sushi was firm and perfectly combined. As for the dine-in experience: affordable prices, very good service, friendly and welcoming waiters. This is a new restaurant and I can see unlimited potential. I give it full marks as a discerning foodie with 20 years of experience in Japanese food.

I’ve been here often for takeout! Usually I get their 3 item happy deal the karage is amazing!. Today my boyfriend and I tried out their donburis after a disappointing experience with another Japanese restaurant. Amazing portions, cheap prices, and delicious! See for yourself! They even add vermicelli wow I’ve attached pics of two separate occasion: oyako don, katsu don, mango avocado sushi, chicken karaage, dynamite roll, beef donburi, and salmon donburi. The beef teriyaki donburi is a bit dry, but still good! If you can’t tell, I’m quite the regular haha

Ordered off the ahi combo menu which lets you pick 3 items from an assortment of dishes. Ordered agedashi tofu, chicken teriyaki don, and chopped scallop nigiri one order of nigiri is 3pcs on that menu. Also added an additional 2pc aburi nigiri because I just had to. They’re all appetizer-sized, but everything was actually quite filling I actually couldn’t finish the rice in the don by the end. Food is great, price is great especially in a place like kits, and service was very attentive and friendly despite there only being one to two servers handling both takeout and dine in. It’s probably going to be my favorite place in the area just for the value.

Wanted to try a new local sushi place around my work and I'm glad I came in! Excellent service and very delicious. I got the chicken terryiaki roll and the spicy salmon roll and both were fantastic. I will be trying the combo next time with 3 items and miso soup.Food: 5/5

I have been to Ahi Sushi 3x and am a veteran sushi diner for over 25 years in lower mainland. Ahi has fresh sushi, tasty, well-made hot dishes and the prices are very reasonable. Service is excellent and staff is friendly. 5 stars from me!

The place is newly opened and offers the typical 3 items set deal. I ordered BC roll, spicy salmon roll and chicken karaage. Portion is huge! It’s more than enough for 1 person, especially the karaage, I was expecting a snack size karaage but they actually give you a full portion. Food was delicious, the karaage is hot and crunchy, salmon is fresh and the BC roll has generous fish skin filling. It’s definitely worth the price along with the free miso soup and tea.
