Aesthetic Associates Centre

I went today for my first teeth cleaning in almost 5 years to Aesthetic Associates Centre. To say I was anything other than extremely impressed would be an understatement. The cleaning I received was by far the most thorough I have ever received. The facility was extremely clean, the equipment was "high-tech", and the hygienist was extremely gentle. I would highly recommend Aesthetic Associates to anyone looking for a quality, professional, and fairly priced dental establishment. I look forward to being a patient for years to come!

First off, Dr. Sam Shatkin Jr. is a great guy. This is probably more about a difference of opinion rather than anything else. But I know he will read this, and I don't want to disparage him whatsoever. He's a great guy, very accomplished, and I want to convey that I have great respect for him despite this somewhat harsh review. I developed gynecomastia several years ago. I also am what they call "skinny-fat", where my body type is thin, but I have to work very hard to get rid of my baby fat in certain area. There's not much anyone can do about that. Over the last 3 years, I've had two procedures done by Dr. Shatkin. The first was to remove excess fat and breast tissue from my chest. He did a great job, however after about a year, the tissue came back, although not as bad. The fat never came back, which is great. Then about a year later I had a second procedure done, this time I had my hereditary spare tire removed via liposuction, and a revision to my chest. Once again he did a great job. Now, a year later, I still have tissue in my chest area. It makes my nipples puff out and it's not a good look. I admit, I put on 20lbs over the winter, but I am back to running and eating right, and I look pretty good otherwise compared to before. I am very happy with the stomach lipo, it has held up well especially around my love handles (i have big hips, so thank god for this). Some fat has come back to my navel area, but it's nothing a proper diet and exercise can't take care of. I went for a follow up recently and brought up the breast tissue, and unfortunately Dr. Shatkin wasn't really sympathetic to my concerns, which I really don't understand. Now I may have hormonal issues that cause this tissue to keep "thickening", but as a paying customer, if I want to come in once a year and get it taken care of, who cares? If I was a female and wanted bigger boobs in the summer and smaller ones in the winter, I'm certain that wouldn't be a problem. Or bigger lips, or the back of my arms slimmer, or my stomach stapled...etc.. you get the point. It would seem that after 2 surgeries, I am left now to find another doctor to help me out. And speaking of which, I did book another appointment with another surgeon, and he agreed that especially on the right side, there is still too much tissue under the nipple/breast area and it needs further revision. Now I can understand if I need to see an endocrine doctor and make sure everything is ok hormonally before I go under again, I understand that. But to say "you can come back for anything else but this" is the kiss of death from a plastic surgeon, or any doctor for that matter. If you are a male and thinking about getting lipo, by all means Dr. Shatkin will take care of you. But if you have gyno, which sometimes takes years to correct, you may find yourself 3 years in with yes an improvement from where you started, but maybe not where you want to be and having to start all over. I am sorry Doc if this review makes you and your practice look bad....I don't want to look bad either. I appreciate what you've done up to this point, but if I could go back in time I might choose differently. With peace and love I wish you and your brother the best in the future, I really do. I have teeth that fracture easily, even though I've gone to the dentist regularly all my life. Dr. Todd and his staff, have made my smile beautiful. The latest in cosmetic dentistry, which you may not need but I and one of my daughters do. It looks so great, other dentist wanted to do this and pull that, not Aesthetic Associates, they make it work. My youngest daughter and my teeth are glowing. It's so great to be able to go to the dentist with confidence that you're getting the best. The techs always remember your name, they are the best most gentle, I've ever had.

I saw marina today for a cleaning and she was amazing! Besides her very positive attitude and kind personality she was very informative, detailing step by step what she was doing which I found helpful. Definitely an office i would recommend!

I have to say first that I hadn't been to a Dentist in about 30 yrs. It came back to bite me! I had a very painful back tooth. I waited in the waiting room sitting next to a tranquil waterfall which took my mind off of my tooth for about 30 minutes. Within 40 minutes I was Pain Free!!. Within an hour I was walking out the door a very Happy Man!! This place is Clean and Professional!! I Loved it! I Will Definitely Spread The Word!! P.S.- Everybody on the Staff were courteous and Professional!! Loved The Whole Team!!
