I love tucking in here for a latte. The Bengal is the crown prince of breakfast sandwiches that I have had, highly recommended. It’s a tiny space with some nice outdoor seating. The staff is great and likes to get to know the regulars.Recommended dishesSandwich, Sandwiches
The veggie breakfast sandwich was great and they subbed spinach with avocado which was actually delicious.Food: 5/5
Dirty. Chairs thrown askew. Tables to sit at were dirty. Furniture doesn't match and the couches are stained and look like they haven't been cleaned in years. The place is cluttered and the drinks are mediocre. I don't know how well they really can clean things here given how much is cramped into a small space. Looking at the cafe lounge, I am not sure how much cleaning is done. Would not recommend.
Consistently good food with imagination. Vegan and vegetarian options. Often hard to get a seat inside and a bit dark. But always a good meal.Food: 4/5
My go-to breakfast place in Peterborough. I was worried when the place changed hands a few years back and long-cherished customs disappeared, but they've forged new ones, and I'm as fond as ever. The coffee is as good or better as it ever was. And they do great things with a bagel.
Best service, Coffee, breakfast, lunch, and atmosphere in town. a perfect place to hang out, meet friends, or just read a book like no other!!
Good coffee in ceramic mugs, hearty squash carrot soup, cozy atmosphere, great salt and pepper shakers!
Truly delicious food. And a wonderful staff - everyone is so very kind, warm and friendly. Definitely my favorite place to eat in Peterborough.
Great food, but incredibly rude older woman working the register. She was annoyed when I ordered two items they ran out of not sure how I was supposed to know. And incredibly inconvenienced when I asked what the soups were sorry I missed the small board that listed them. It shocks me that people who hate providing basic customer service work these jobs.
This place is a little gem in town. Right inside the bookstore, they run great food specials daily. There are always vegetarian options too. I have picky kids in my house, so they usually choose a baked good option instead of lunch. Coffee is really good. The seating area is quite small inside, so head outside if the weather is nice or take it to go.
