Such a shame. Our family of 3 has been coming here for 4-5 years now. Even hung in through the pandemic. Sadly, that’s come to an end. I usually get my regular glasses made from some sun glass frames. Never been an issue in the past to do any brand, Oakley, Ray-Ban, etc. this year though it all went so wrong. Went in for doctors appointment a little over a month ago. Always great dealing with them! Looked around the frames and didn’t see anything that jumped out at me. So I decided to go look at some other places. After trying on numerous pairs I decided upon the ones I wanted. I wanted to keep things in with our family optical needs and returned to Ada to order the frames and have them made. After waiting for about 2 weeks I still hadn’t heard anything. I called and was told the frames are taking a little longer than usual. Fast forward another week and a half and I call again. No answer at 2 pm so I leave message. Still no call back or anything. So today I decided to stop in. I was told that the frames still hadn’t come in. And that it would be easier if I just bought the glasses myself and then brought them in for them to be made. This after I still have the same broken glasses I came I. There for over a month ago. I hate it because the doctors seem To do such a great job. The optical department though has lost our business for the whole place. That’s a family of 3, and whoever we ever speak to about glasses with in the future.
Our family of 4 have been customers at Ada Vision for 15 years. Since Dr. Noble left, there is very little interest in maintaining or helping loyal long term customers who have spent thousands over the years at their practice. Policy over people should be the motto on the reader sign in front. No matter the circumstances.
There are two issues - the first is the poor service provided by a young person who has no skills in working with older people, even when prompted to speak slower or explain what he is doing. The second issue is much more serious: The eye doctor, Dr. Anderson, I believe, never! showed up! I waited patiently for about 45 minutes. He was a no show! When I complained to the young man he asked and the receptionist she asked I was so angry, all I wanted to do was leave! But frankly, I was expecting some kind of apology from management. Or someone! Nothing was forthcoming! I have been a patient at this eye care place for five years! But no longer!
I’ve been going to Ada Vision now for a few years. I don’t think in that time I’ve ever seen the same doctor more than once, always someone different. The last time I went probably will be the last time. The lady helping me with a damaged nose piece for my glasses wasn’t much help, felt like I was wasting her time. I left there with the same issue, nothing resolved with my broken frames. Also, I started shaking my head when I noticed they were charging patients for disposable masks and having to wait outside building during covid. I went across town to Lens Crafters, they were able to set me up with proper frames and are in network.
Overpriced, typical big box box eye exam store. Didn’t have any samples I could use in a pinch. The “order online” option for contacts they give you is way too expensive. Staff is nice, but still—go to Costco.
Disappointed in the office. We had such a confusing situation. Ordered the same prescription of contacts through a different company but they ended up being blurry. The decisions made and the communications with them thereafter became very confusing and frustrating. Have decided to go somewhere else.
Office management initially agreed to swap 2 unopened boxes of contact lenses I purchased from them, then they reneged so now I am stuck with a prescription that doesn't work for me for another 8 months until my insurance renews. Staff was not solutions-oriented. Also, my doctor recently left the practice and patients were kept in the dark. My family and I will not be returning.
I am so very disappointed that this optometry office is not a good fit for me. I have gone in twice with new prescription in hand and ready to order three pairs of new glasses however, the girls at the front desk are extremely dismissive and unhelpful. Today, after waiting 12 minutes for assistance in ordering new lenses, I decided I may as well go to Costco as they have better customer service.
I was very impressed with the service at Ada Vision. All of the staff were efficient, polite, and knowledgeable. I really loved that they offered me the alternative to getting my pupils dilated by doing a different test and they were upfront that it would be an extra cost, which was completely worth it for me. Dr. Rolfe was great and listened to me and. my concerns. I was also really impressed with Abby. There was at some point a mix up with my contact order and when I called to inquire about it, she immediately addressed the problem and had it all fixed the next day. Great customer service and patient experience!
Ada Vision center is the best. Staff is very friendly. They make everything easy. Dr. Simonson is wonderful. She is very compassionate , understanding and very thorough. I didn't know if I could come in to see her because my brother just passed away two days before I saw her . I came in she was so compassionate and made me feel alot better. Got through the exam . I would recommend her any time. She is awesome!!!
