I've had a negative experience leaving Ali Chang's office today. Although efficient and knowledgable in her abilities, her customer service skills are SEVERELY lacking and need some serious work. During our meeting, I felt she was belittling, condescending and treated me as if I was totally incompetent. She made me feel awkward about my preparedness for our meeting (to which I prepared best to my abilities and knowledge), and when I didn't have answers to her questions I was made to feel ignorant. I walked out of her offices today feeling like more of a nuisance and less of a client. I will not be coming back, nor would I recommend her services. If you are looking for a genuinely friendly, helpful, personable experience do look elsewhere.

Just spoke to the receptionist and asked to speak to an accountant. She said she's not here. I asked when would she be available to speak to? Then she said "Carolina is not here". I said when will Carolina be available? She said how did you know Carolina's name? Isn't the person who answers the phone the first impression you get of the business?

After spending countless hours reading up on CRA's website and trying to figure out how to deal with my somewhat non-standard tax return I decided to go with a tax professional and take the guess work out of the equation. I went with Ali at Acton accounting and I'm very happy with the professional service and result that I got. I ended up saving a significant amount of money compared to if I had filed it myself.
