I’ve been seeing Ed Shields for more than 20 years now, which is either a testament to his skills or an indictment on my overall health… but in truth Ed is outstanding. He has a very calming but also optimistic demeanour with his patients and takes time to chat and get to know them. He is also incredibly competent, but able to share throughout the session why he is doing certain techniques to help inform the patient. Ed has helped me recover through several injuries including knee surgery, back issues, hands and shoulders. He can be counted on for excellent care, results, and some witty banter too. If you’re injured or sore, he’s the best.
I've been with Dr. Hamdon Motwice. Once in a car accident in 2020 and the other time was a back injury work, he was very professional and very skilled, and eventhough both injuries were very serious and I was devistated, but he was very calming and assuring and fixed all my back problems in no time and I was in a better shape than even before the injury.
I had a great experience during the months I spent receiving treatment post MVA. Ed is a great physiotherapist who is amicable, knowledgeable and follows a patient-centred approach to treatments. There is a comfortable and collegial atmosphere at this clinic location and everyone there is invested in the improvement of their patients/clients. Would recommend!
I’ve been seeing Ed Shields for years. He is very friendly and has your best interest in mind while providing treatment. All the other staff at Active Physio works are also extremely nice and they create a positive environment while being treated.
Mo Mohammed is my cool and awesome, super knowledgeable therapist. He is very patient and really works with you to get you back in proper shape, like he helped with my 2 separate injuries inguinal hernia, and foot sprain. I highly recommend Active Physio, everyone there are just amazing, and very professional people and they treat every patient exceptionally well. Thank you Mo and staff at Active Physio you guys are rockstars!
I started going to see Mo from a work injury and he helped bring my strength back up significantly. The whole team is always positive, willing to share some laughs and helpful. It made it worth going in to do physio and for my mental health as well. Mo is very knowledgeable and gives great exercises for you to do at home or at the gym to continue doing physio on your own. He cares about his patients and I highly recommend going to see him!
The staff at the Kensington location were incredibly friendly and professional. There was a mix-up when I called in to book an appointment and ended up booking in the St.Albert location instead, but the receptionist got it sorted out right away when I got there. My physiotherapist was Ed and he was incredibly thorough and did a detailed examination to get to the root cause of my pain. As a person that needs to thoroughly understand the issue, I very much appreciated the detailed explanations of every method he was trying out to figure out the problem. He was also very patient with me and was never dismissive of my questions and concerns. After doing the exercises and stretches he taught me, the pain has not returned so far.
I started seeing Curtis about a month ago and he has gave me the best physiotherapist experience ever! Just from showing up to physio my shoulder is feeling so much better. The environment here is amazing as well. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. I will definitely come back here if I ever have to again!
I had the best physio specialist. Ed Shields had me back to normal within 4 sessions. He is competent and knows the body and how it should function. I was in so much pain, I could hardly walk into the clinic. Thank you very much.
Had an amazing experience with Curtis And Mo ! They were extremely helpful at getting me back to where I was before my injury . They were also extremely informative and explained the process every step of the way ! . Highly recommend
