Ackerly's Grill & Galley Restaurant

Service was excellent and accommodating, our party was large and they were able to get us in. Time from order to table was appropriate. Serving size was perfect . highly recommend the spinach dip, and very pleased with the seafood risotto. I'm sorry it took me so long to get here. More of a summer resident in the area and had our final dinner here before going south. Will definitely be back next year... Can't wait.

We had a group of 11, and had a fairly good cross section of the menu. Everything was bland. Everything. The rice was particularly uninspired, and worse than if they had just put straight rice in a rice cooker (I suspect it was boxed rice). I personally had pan-seared scallops. The portion was pretty small for the price—6 or 7 scallops for $20. The scallops themselves were disappointingly bland as well. How you can manage to cover up the sweetness and robustness of scallops is beyond me, but they somehow pulled it off. The service was equally as disappointing. While I understand that we had a relatively large order for the size of the establishment, and anticipated a delay in getting our food, I never expected to need to wait another 20-30 minutes after our table was cleared for the check. We ended up having to chase down our server inside to pay the bill. If you want seafood in the Lakes Region of NH, I imagine you can probably do much better. If you're looking for an affordable place to eat in this area, I'd steer clear.

Seemed like a hole in the wall but we went in for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. Nice food, good service, modest prices. Definitely a place to check out.
