Thank you for a lovely weekend away. We came for a paintball event in the area and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. It was quiet, you can’t hear any traffic in this location because you’re far enough away from any majors roads. Laura and staff were very kind and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. The camp sites were clean and spacious; we had more than enough space to be comfortable during our stay. It was also a lovely area where locals are friendly and there are plenty of farm fresh stands along the way to pick up fruit and vegetables. Definitely recommend coming here and will be returning if we make our way up there again. Thanks, Jade and Nathan
Great experience! Everyone is very friendly and helpful : facilities are clean. Each site has water and electricity RV sites only have 30a plugs so you may need an adapter
Booked this place last minute for the Labour Day weekend and was very disappointed. As a few others have said the owner can be difficult to get along with. We had a small campfire less than 2’ going and she made a point of stopping at our site driving her golf cart and repeatedly told us how high and dangerous our fire was. We left early as this was clearly not the spot for us. Still want to book here?…….Take your chances
Amazing campsites, pretty lake, clean facilities. It is a really welcoming place, we felt at home there! Thanks again to Laura for everything.
Quiet & budget-friendly rustic little park. Has a small beach and little playground. Pro's: dark and quiet at night, shadded and private sites. Con's: very poor water pressure non existent at times and water treated heavily with chlorine. Make sure you bring your own drinking water and bug spray.
Cute little trailer campground. We tented on what looks to be their only tent site. Everyone seemed to know each other and are very friendly to new faces. Friendly staff. Family business. Clean washrooms. Would recommend bringing your own firewood and ice.
Great place! Laura is very welcoming, helpful, and so accommodating! It was a relaxed stay without any fuss. We were a group of 6, and we met great people while we were there, and watched spectacular sunsets over the bay. Would definitely go back.
The owner, Laura, is not mentally stable and very nosey, pesky and in your face. She boots around on a golf cart all day nosing around people's business, gossiping with "regulars" and generally acting unprofessional. She really can't take a hint when you are trying to get rid of her. The "activities" at the park are pathetic, there are very few throughout the summer and they are not very well organized. Her trailer rates are reasonable, but you will have no privacy or peace and quiet for the entire season. The trailers are on top of each other, you can hear people's conversations in the trailers around you. The store is a bit of a joke. Swimming area is really not very good at all. Only bonus to this park is the close proximity to Sandbanks where we spent many of our days with the kids on the beautiful beach. We should have just moved our site to Sandbanks. If you choose to go to this campground, you have been warned! Go elsewhere and save your sanity!!! We will never return.
Recommend avoiding if you are wanting an actual calm, serene camping experience. While it's a beautiful woodland setting with some nice people we were kept awake until midnight by some douche blasting music....loud. Management was nowhere to be found to register us or deal with the guy...we could be tolerant if it wasn't as loud as it was but man, it was blaring and made for a sort low rent kind of night. It's really a trailer park and you gotta decide if that's your bag. I wanted a nice night around the fire with friends listening to a summer evening...don't mind hearing others but this was like being next to a bandshell. Sort of frustrating because we paid significant money just to pitch our tents. Wanted to provide a heads up because I wish we had known.
Nice cozy little spot. Very friendly and clean facilities. Only complaint was some visitors were allowed keep their music playing quite late, but didn't really disturb us much.
