I think the following is a very fair review of my interaction with Acadia Refrigeration ; I tried to use the company a couple of years ago to service my heat pump. They acknowledged my service request, put my request up on a board in the office to be done when the Service Tech was next available. I waited, I called, I waited some more then called a competitor company in the Kentville area who came out promptly, did the service work very professionally at a very reasonable charge. Next month I am looking to install a new air sourced heat pump in a property I am buying. I figure every company has a bad day every now and then so I'll give Acadia another shot. I called Acadia along with two other companies on the same day 6 days ago and left voicemails for all three. Two of the three called me back within 4 hours and both will be providing quotes for the work. To date, no call back from Acadia. Need I say more ?
Sooo I rarely write reviews as I'm pretty particular and have to be really impressed by a company to take the time to do so. Acadia Refrigeration was one of three local Valley companies I asked to provide a quote for our heat pump system. I didn't choose them because they were the lowest price even though they were, but because they were super professional, responsive and focused on providing exactly what I wanted and needed. The site visit and quote experience felt more like a true assessment by a certified professional and not a pitch by a sales guy. And everything was included in a single clear price - whereas I felt like the other companies were nickel and diming me - charging extra for stands and trays and things that should just be part of the system. The installation experience was flawless, thanks to a pre-install site visit to double check everything. I was worried about having holes cut in our ceiling or walls but their electrician was able to route it through existing channels, and everything was set up, connected and programmed in a day with no damage and everything left neat and tidy. The installers were courteous and professional, and simply the kind of guys you don't mind having in your house for a day. They even made sure to schedule our job to take advantage of a manufacturer rebate, and they helped me fill out my Efficiency NS rebate paperwork. I frankly can't think of anything else they could have done to deliver a better customer experience. P.S. Based on my experience, I'm a tiny bit suspicious about the two one-star reviews on here, and it's part of the reason why I took the time to tip the scales a bit back to reality. I recommend Acadia without hesitation.
It was nearly impossible to get them to come out to my house to do an assessment. They finally did, but even after contacting them for a follow up, I have yet to hear back after 2 weeks. It's a shame because I was ready to spend money for them to set me up with a heat pump, but I guess they didn't want my money. Went with Annapolis Valley Air Management instead, and was extremely satisfied with that decision.
Couldn't be any happier with this company! I called for a quote on a Monday and had my Daikin heat pump installed that Friday. The salesperson, Brian was extremely knowledgeable and polite and funny! If you want to be taken care of, call this contractor!!!
We are very happy with both the system and the service. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and personable. We have had the system for a year now and they don't hesitate to answer our questions and make sure we are satisfied.
I got an after hours callback within an hour of leaving a voicemail. Caring and knowledgeable!
