Abi's Cafe

First time here because of the great reviews and I was not disappointed. I splurged and had the carne asada as my meal, one pupusa chicharrón as an appetizer and the buñuelos con helado for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious but what really stood out were the fresh corn tortillas. Hands down the best tortillas I ever had, which of course make the pupusas so special too. Definitely worth coming back and trying more items on the menu.

We really liked this place. We went early so it was pretty open, but it started to fill in as time went on. The server was very friendly and attentive. The vibe was fun with great music. Let me just say that the majority of the food was very good, but the pupusas were amazing. I’ve been to El Salvador, and the pupusas tasted the same!

LOVED the food. I thought about the pupusas for days afterwards. Our waitress was really nice and personable. I will definitely be coming back soon to try all the delicious menu items. It's a little hidden so make sure to keep an eye out!

The pupusas were amazing!!! I'd never been to MN before and this was my first time with Salvadoran food and I loved it. Vegetarian options were appreciated and the service was so nice. I don't recall the name of the appetizer I ordered, but it was exquisite.Food: 5/5

Abi's is a gem on Lyndale which is well worth the visit! While there were some tantalizing large-plate options on the menu, I decided to go for the 3 for $12 pupusas combo. Each was delicious, and I have to recommend giving the pupusas loroco a try! It made for a very hearty lunch overall. Staff was also very kind with their great recommendations and consistent, timely service! One note: it seems they had a couple of staff shortage issues a week before this review, but those seemed sorted today. I hope Abi's is here to stay, and I personally can't wait to give more of the menu a try.

Food was mid. The service was subpar. They charged $8 for small plate of chips and salsa and another $3 when we asked for more chips. They couldn't split the bill in different ways bc they use Toast instead of Square. Not going back.Food: 4/5

The best pupusas and birria tacos in the twin cities! Super friendly staff and baby friendly changing table in the restroom!. We have already come twice in 48 hours and plan to do more!

Our family includes two vegetarians and two fairly picky kiddos...we all loved Abi's food + service and are looking forward to coming back. The Dorados tacos, burritos, and pupusas were amazing!
