Lago Tacos - Uptown

This has quickly become one of my go-to restaurants in the uptown area. You really can't go wrong with a good taco, and these guys have plenty to offer. Lots of unique combinations, a step away from your traditional meat, cheese, and veggie staple, but well worth the adventure. While the food was a hit, the atmosphere is where it falls off. Not much going on, but if it's nice out, you can grab a seat on the patio and enjoy some outdoor dining. Excellent staffing and reasonable pricing helps round out the overall great experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Lyn-Lake area.

We used Lago Taco Uptown to cater our wedding and it was SO good! All of our wedding guests raved about how delicious and warm the food was on our wedding day. Steve was wonderful and helped make sure everything went smoothly on wedding day. If you're looking for different wedding food that is more affordable and everyone will love look no further! One thing to be mindful of is that you'll need to rent out dishes as only plastic plates / silverware are provided.

Stopped here for late lunch on a Sunday - and left with food poisoning. My one sister and I ordered the same steak burrito bowl meal, while my other sister got tacos. The two of us left feeling so sick, look up the symptoms of food poisoning and that was us today. Thinking it was the refried beans served with our meal because the sister who got tacos didn’t have them and was feeling fine. This was a bummer as the food was decent. Few positives, loved the vibe of the place and our waiter was very nice.

My first time here and I will definitely be back. Taylor was awesome and attentive, giving good advice when I asked his opinion. Service was fast and friendly, food was excellent. Prices were reasonable. Definitely recommend.Food: 5/5

Lagos Tacos in Lyn-Lake is a great spot to grab some tasty tacos. The food is generally delicious and the atmosphere is lively and fun. However, the happy hour menu is a mixed bag. While the prices are great, the food during happy hour can be hit or miss. On some days, the food is just as good as it is at other times, but on other days, the quality seems to suffer. Additionally, the staff can be a bit hectic during happy hour, running around and forgetting to bring all of the sauces that come with the tacos. Despite these minor hiccups, Lagos Tacos is still a worthwhile visit. The menu is extensive, and there are plenty of options for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. The drinks menu is also quite good, with a nice selection of beer and cocktails. The atmosphere is casual and fun, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or catch up with colleagues after work. Overall, if you're looking for great tacos and a fun atmosphere, Lagos Tacos in Lyn-Lake is a great option. Just keep in mind that the happy hour menu can be hit or miss, and be prepared for a bit of chaos during busy times.

Nice environment. The margaritas were sooooooo tasty. We ordered chicken tinga taco. It was dry and not very flavorful, we didn't eat it all. First time ever, that we couldn't finish a taco. Probably a nice afternoon stop to wet our whistle.

Great vibes here! The patio is perfect for people watching, getting good drinks and awesome background music, you have to try the Empanadas here sheesh!!

Top notch service. Good food and drink selection. Clean bathrooms. Parking can be tricky, but you should find some within a few blocks.

Stopped in to grab a quick lunch on a Friday. Little light on staffing but those on for the day were excellent and provided quality service and quick turn around. Sweet corn cake as a side was cold. So make sure you ask if you want it warm to be sure. I had the fried avocado tacos and they were superb. I can not wait to return to have them again. Beer selection was plentiful, I had a Dos Equis Ambar and it was perfect on a hot day. We ordered the Queso and Chips, the Queso was very spicy and was not expecting it so be careful. All in all, I want to go back next week.

This place has amazing food...the tacos never disappoint! I love the flexibility in ordering...up to 5 tacos-they can all be different too. Tonight I had a steak taco and a firecracker shrimp taco-both really good. The only drawback was the side of rice...small portion and just average. My company had the corn cakes as a side because they love them. Parking is a bit difficult because this road is so busy downtown...they do have a few designated spots but usually taken. Pay parking on road. GREAT AUTHENTIC TACOS. You have to pay for chips/salsa if you want to snack before dinner fyi.
