We had the Abby salad and it was really good! My mom and i both got the small salad and was big for the size. Drinks are also really good. I got the "Hey Jude" & my mom got the "around the universe". Mine was a great tropical mix for the beach and my moms tasted like a grape kool-aid. We suggest getting either! Service was also really great our server was very nice and helped us with all of our questions. We also had our pups with us. They allowed us yo sit on the patio and enjoy the weather.
We stumbled upon this place the first day on vacation and wow what a find. Amazing food and service. We tried the fried shrimp, calamari, kids pizza, burger medium, fries.... I forgot to take pictures the first night. everything was cooked to perfection. The staff is so super friendly and don't hover over you, yet some how know when you need something and are there. It is a Beatles theme so there are pictures all over the walls. There are boothes and tables and they had a large group of 11 and were very quick with there food. We received our food within 15 min from placing our order. Najir was the best and when we went back the second time my daughter said she wanted a table in his section and we would wait if we had to. There was no wait and 3 days went by from the first time and the second time and he remembered what we ordered. The do have a bar if you wanna stop by and have a drink.
I live near Richmond and a BIG part of where I choose to stay when I'm on vacation is based on how long of a walk it is to get here. Their gluten free options taste AMAZING and I have never had a negative Celiac reaction any of the times I've gone. The food is amazing, the ambiance is fantastic, and service is phenomenal. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and I have to all of my friends back home. Wish I was local so I could come every week. But I'm not so for now I can't wait till I can come back!!!
My husband and I had a good expeirence; it was the last dinner of our honeymoon. We were excited about the theme, which is why we chose this restaurant over others. We got some cute photos and had a delicious meal. I got the Abbey burger with fries and my husband got the seafood jambalaya. I also got the Abbey Runner drink. I had seen on Facebook just a few days earlier that you had happy hour specials, specifically on appetizers. When we arrived, I was hoping there would be a menu with the options, but I didn't see anything. I asked our server and she got a little snotty with me. She told me the drink specials and I proceeded to ask if there were any food specials, and she said, "Only if you sit at the bar." Just seemed a little confusing. It was only 4:15 when we arrived and the dinner rush hadn't hit, but she seemed preoccupied with other things. Other than the happy hour confusion, everything else was great!
I am giving 4 stars for now and only reason is food presentation. At first I was skeptical to try it, but after I did food was amazing and tasted really good. Our server was amazing and really knew the menu and explained and answered all my questions. Made me feel like I was one of the regulars. Definitely gets 5 stars for that. Next time I am in town I definitely will be going to Abbey. Thank you guys!!!!
We took my mother-in-law here since she loves the Beatles and has to have gluten free food. This is her favorite spot to eat in the area. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options as well. Food was above average and the service was amazing.
I wanted to like this place, but the cafeteria grade food did not make that possible. My fish was over cooked and tasted like frozen fish from a grocery store. The chicken tenders were undercooked and had pink in the middle. My wife's crabcake was underwhelming. The decor was neat especially the old beer cans above the bar. I would probably come back for a couple beers but I would never eat here again.
We had a fantastic lunch here! The outdoor dining was a nice place to get out of the crowd and heat. They were very pet friendly and brought our dog a bowl of water right away. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was good and had price points for everyone.
I had the gluten free calamari and potato skins. I ate most of the calamari before I remembered to take a picture. It was so good. You couldn't even tell it was gluten free. They had a really good band while we there. The only reason this wasn't a five star is even though our waitress was really nice she was slow. Would definitely go back though.
This was our first stop on our trip to Virginia Beach and probably the worst dining experience while here. It wasn't awful, just not very good. I had the fish and chips and the fish was way over fried. The pieces of fish were very hard and crunchy. The fries were flavorless as well. None in my party thought the food was good. To top it off, my service was slow and I thought it was over priced for what we received.
