Decent selection for being in a remote location. I noticed a lot of the shelf stable items like cereal, flour, canned soup, and condiments are priced on the high end. But they make up for it with really reasonable prices on produce, meat, and dairy. The deli has a decent selection and most of the staff have a pretty good attitude. Definitely worth it to shop here if you need something the grill up or forgot just one or two things when you packed for vacation.

***UPDATED FOR 2026:nThe store used to be welcoming and kind. It no longer is. No one here wants to help anymore.nnSomething shifted in July of 2026.nnThey are not kind to summer travelers. The prices are about double or triple Safeway in Hood River or Dollar General in Carson. They also don't remember or treat their repeat customers well anymore.nnShopping there is akin to being invited to a party, attending it, then not being received or acknowledged the whole time one's there.nnThey have healthy food options, ethically however, for emotional health, I can no longer recommend this establishment.

We are soooo lucky to have a gem of a grocery store in our little town. I'm always finding such interesting and delightful things to eat. I love the special times of year when we get brussels sprouts stalks, boxes of local peaches, local asian pears, or roasted Hatch chiles. And the staff is 100% consistently kind. Thank you A&J!

I'm a travel nurse and have lived all over the country over the past few years but because I worked at a small town grocery store for years while I was in highschool and college, I genuinely love checking out small independent grocery stores and this place did not disappoint. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, wide selection hometown vibe, this place has it all. If you're staying in the area, make this place your one-stop shop. Always support local grocery stores because once they sell-off/die-off or just go away, you're gonna be wishing they were still there.

Awesome little deli there , best Italian sandwich ever had , my husband’s turkey sandwich was top notch !
