Had a lovely lunch here with a friend! The ramen was delicious, and it was great that they have gluten free options! Also got a poke bowl to go, which was just as good. The staff were really friendly, and the space is super cool. I’ll definitely come back.
Very cool ambiance! It has back to the casual 90s vibe with the graffiti and art. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I tried the ramen, it was very delicious and flavorful. The more you eat, the more flavors you discover. The music was a bit loud for me; my friend and I could barely hear each other. But overall, it was a fun experience.
Delicious food, amazing service, had a great daddy daughter date and got the to fulfil one of her bucket lists to go to a fun Ramen restaurant. She was so excited to go and talked about it all the way home.
Came here for dinner. We had the Goma Ramen and the "special thick cut pork ramen" - the broth was delicious and flavorful. The avocado and chip appetizer was delicious and beautiful.Food: 4/5
We were visiting from Vancouver with our puppy. The restaurant is dog friendly. The service exceptional. The food and drinks were great. Highly recommend when visiting Calgary! December 27, 2022. We came back to Calgary for another hockey tournament and had to visit 5 Senses again. Great food and service. More yummy photos!
Had been eying this place for a while before finally going in. The interior is super cool; they have a graffiti mural that wraps every wall, as well as screens on the ceiling that showcase the inside of an aquarium. It’s got that grungy hole in the wall place vibe that I love! Our server was super nice and chill too. However, mixed reviews on the food. My friend and I got different starters - the edamame and japa fries respectively - and we both enjoyed them. I especially liked the japa fries, the sauce and seasoning were perfect. Our mains were a different story. I feel like I’m pretty easy to please with poke bowls since I’m obsessed with salmon and tuna, but even those couldn’t save the dish. It was very bitter and tasteless at the same time somehow? I can’t quite explain it. I tried to finish but ended up giving up and just eating my pieces of tuna and salmon which by the way were tiny portions. My friend didn’t enjoy her ramen either; she said the broth was tasteless and the elements in her noodles were barely memorable. We probably won’t be back but at least we satisfied our curiosity by finally coming in
This ramen here is GREAT. They have fully gluten free options for just about everything, and they cook the noodles in separate water so it's safe for celiacs. Really great that the GF broth is veggie based to give the most options - just enough spice and great miso umami flavor. Will come back!
Hello! Have some food adventure and try this… Hawaii-Five-O Poke Bowl -a just right spicy tuna, seaweed, fresh avocado and sweet pineapple chunks to give it a sweet balance taste poke bowl - deliciously prepared! - and the service is amazing - a small ramen place with a street style vibe tucked in the middle of the vibrant 17th Ave SW scene. a joint you’d expect to only find in NYC besides Tokyo. - they also follow strict Covid check protocol- clean and tables are spaced
Delicious rich ramen, very well portioned with grilled corn that creats more depth for the dish. The japa fries is worth a try too
Stopped by on a whim to try the Japafries and was very pleasantly surprised. They were crisp and coated with some kind of slightly spicy powder. Never had them before but can't wait to head back and give them and some other items a shot. My tip: the sake in the blue bottle was an amazing treat!
