The bistro is in the grocery store but you feel like yiu are in a restaurant. They have nice seating areas, open roof area in summer, and good quality and tasty food for a reasonable price. I haven't had a meal that I didn't like and the staff is very friendly and helpful Kid-friendliness: According to my child, they make the best grilled cheese
We liked the chicken and sandwiches we ordered. The French fries had good flavor. The staff was helpful. Cool place.
This place tends to be pretty hit or miss which is the ONLY reason this isn't 5 stars. Their food is great sometimes, its not other times. Ive gotten fries that were practically still uncooked potatoes and reuben sandwiches which was just a weird tasting grilled cheese with almost no cheese. Ive also gotten some of the best burgers and fries in town. Depends on the people on shift honestly. Theres people that are super experienced and some that are newer. This place isn't like mc donalds or even other sit down places in town. Most of the stuff they do is made with unique ingredients and food preperation isn't as cut and dry; which is why food quality really boils down to the experience of the cook. Its different ever time i eat from here. However their main spotlight is the burgers and fries. Reubens and other grilled sandwiches tend to be pretty bad most of the time.
Best part of the Marketplace Fresh Foods is by FAR the Street Bistro ..the beers on tap go down super smoothly, the food is delish and the staff always accommodating..10 out of 10 worth a visit..and did I mention they have outdoor/rooftop seating?? What are you doing reading this!!! Go there and enjoy!
We were traveling through lagrande and stopped at 4th street bistro based on Google reviews. Ordered a ruben sandwich. The young men working that day neglected to inform us that they were out of saurkraut. Kind of an important part of a Reuben . Management needs to train employees on customer service and attentivenes. Disappointed.
Wow! I can never decide which is the most delicious...the burger or ruben sandwich. What I can tell you is the 4th Street Bistro has the best steak fries in town: sprinkled with sea salt, and only $2.00 to upgrade from chips. This evening I paired my dinner with the guava cider- delicious! Great customer service tops this already 5 star review.
In short: great sandwiches, friendly staff, & a large beer selection in a slightly awkward location In detail: I don't know if this place simply does good enough business through word-of-mouth, but I think that they seriously need some signage. There was zero indication from the outside of the building that there is a restaurant there at all. It's basically a sandwich spot in the back of a mediocre grocery market, but it's worth checking out. Clunkiness of the location aside: it had *really* good sandwiches and is definitely worth finding. The menu is small, but has some pretty unique offerings. I appreciated that it has 2 vegetarian options as their Facebook page made it look like they were more of a fancy burger joint. They had a huge bottled beer cooler and also have taps where you can fill growlers. I don't drink, but I'm sure that the craft selection would be appealing to those that do. I was disappointed that coffee and a standard soda fountain were the only other beverage options as I would think that a place with that kind of variety of bottled beers would be a likely spot for some bottled beverages like craft sodas or kombucha or even juice. The seating on the main floor, where we sat, felt kind of like an upscale food court. After we ate we explored a bit it's nestled in a plaza with a couple of other business other than the already-mentioned grocery market and discovered that, if you climb a couple of flights of stairs, there is a seating area with a great view of Mount Emily. There is also seasonal outdoor seating on the roof, but that wasn't open on our visit. I think that there is definitely some room for improvement & I would give it 4 stars based on my first experience, but the food and great staff along with my assumption that people who enjoy a good beer & hanging out with friends would love this place are making me go with 5. We'll definitely go back.
The sandwiches were very good and our server delivered them to our residence being it was just a few blocks down from them. This was such a nice gesture! Thanks for going above and beyond.
Food was not good. Check your order before you head home with it, they gave me something completely different than what I ordered.
Service in the deli is always amazing and the food is delicious!
