Oh my gosh. We went there twice. First time the oven wasn’t working so we thought hey let’s go back. The pizza was very bland, the service was just weird, he didn’t offer cups, they do not have ice, you had to ask for seasonings. I asked for forks, he asked how many, there was zero other families and he couldn’t afford to bring forks for everyone. The fries were freezer burnt. The wings were best part. The large tv wasn’t turned on. The place was clean.
I'm not clear why Google won't allow a 0 star review, but this place qualifies. It's the worst restaurant experience I've had in years. I ordered a meatball sub, it had two meatballs cut into slices for the whole sandwich and absolutely no sauce. I'm actually kind of scared that I'll get food poisoning. the meat was so old, I wasn't clear what I was eating. My girlfriend got an Italian sub, no ham. It came out with ham and on pice of pepperoni....for the whole sandwich. it was supposed to have multiple things on it. we asked where the rest of the ingredients were and they stated that is all they had there and "weren't going to go to the store to get them". What the actual f. It had no sauce on it either and no vegetables except a few onions. this is a stay very far away restaurant. do not eat there
I hate leaving bad reviews for businesses because I know how hard it is to please the public. But hopefully the owner makes some changes. You can’t charge that kind of money for that kind of quality. Definitely milking the “Richie name and brand” No where near the quality of the the old island city location. I think if you went off reviews in the last 2 years you would find a one star restaurant. Higher priced and sub par quality. CASH ONLY?!? No ice. A frozen totinos pizza is better. The Philly was decent but cost way more and about half the meat of the old place.
Shame on you, your prices, food quality and customer service is horrendous. What a awful way to use the “New York Richie” name. Bring back the old island city location and burn the new place down. We drove from Salem as I grew up out here and this was a MUST STOP for us on our stay. We threw over half of it out and had to get Taco Bell on the way back to our spot. 5 stars for Taco Bell though.
Will never come here again. We always stop at this restaurant when we pass through La Grande, but the new owners have killed it for us. Today was hot and there is no air conditioning, which we would have tolerated, but the service was horrendous. When the young man delivered us the wrong pizza, he told us that he confused it with a to -go order, and took it back to the kitchen. I saw the female owner working on the pizza and a few minutes later she brought us the same pizza having picked off most of the mushrooms, and added the sausage we had requested. Disgusting at best but potentially unsafe food practice if the sausage doesn't get cooked all the way. We sat there another 25 minutes and no one came in for a to-go order so that was an outright lie. When we questioned her about it, she acknowledged that is what she had done, but offered no apology. We had to request that she remake the pizza. The young man at the counter forgot our drinks, didn't bring sauce we requested, and placed ordered for the wrong pizza. We are done coming here, the food is good, but the penny pinching service is intolerable. I know why we were the only people here today.
Was looking to revisit one of my favorite restaurants. It’s 12:49 PM and they’re closed. How dare you. #shameful #waytoruinagreatthing
If I could give a no stars I would. I brought my wife here for her birthday, driving over a hundred miles, for the so called famous pizza and they didn't even have pizza available!! We ended up having salads and sandwiches. It cost me $80 dollars for food that wasn't even up to Subway's standards. It was not tasty, nor filling and I doubt we will ever waste that kind of time and money there again. If you wanting food in La Grande, gas station sandwiches are a better bet.
The new location of the New York Richies in Lg is nice. Not a fan of my order... more likely will not be going there again. Price is insanely high and the “white pasta” is not Alfredo. I repeat not Alfredo. The other order was tasty but it was a tiny sandwich and like twice the price of a subway sandwich...
Since new ownership, prices are extremely high and the food is not worth the inflated cost. They used to offer 1/2 sandwiches. When I asked for a half, she told me I couldn't have a half, that I had a choice of a whole sandwich or a combo which included the whole sandwich, fries and a drink. Now why would I want MORE food if I was trying to order 1/2 a sandwich?!? It was $25.00 for 2 drinks, 1 order of fries and 2 Philly cheesesteak sandwiches! We used to love this place but we will not be back! Rude customer service and very long wait!
Ordered pizza and bread sticks. Order half cheese half cattlemen and an order of bread, was just under 30$. What I received was a paper thin cheese pizza with some toppings tossed on after it was baked and thrown in a box. I know new York pizza is thin but this is just cheap. Pizza was cold, tiny and not filling at all. I called and asked for an explanation and was pretty much told "sorry thats the way it is". Don't waste your money here. I'm sorry Richies, you used to be a bomb eatery but you've lost it.
