22's Grill

It used to be hard to find a good smash burger on this side of town, but not anymore! Located inside of a local hockey arena, this joint serves a killer burger. Bun was soft, meat was good quality and cooked well, and the cheese was flavourful. However, the lettuce could have been crisper and the tomato was a bit bland. The pickles were also good, but the fried skin was thicker than what I’d prefer. Still a great meal overall, and definitely worth checking out!

Smash burger is absolutely amazing! Couple that with the best fries I've had, ever, and all sub $10! Mind blown! Must try!

Hidden away in the hockey arena is a nice little restaurant that you would not expect to have at this location. We ordered the smash burgers and they were great. Thin large patties of fresh beef, that result from a smash technique, creates more surface for more flavour. The toppings were a perfect match to the smashed burger patty. The seasoned French fries were good and the Chicken Caesar was great. Will be back to try the double patty version. Parking: Good parking but due to its location it is hard to see where the restaurant is located. It is in the hockey rink.

Popped in last night to try their burger the "22 Smashburger". A recent article had mentioned it and claimed it was the best burger in Burnaby. It did not disappoint. It was delicious, was perfectly cooked and had great flavour. The fries were amazing as well. The young man at the counter was super pleasant and very nice. All I can say is, well worth the trip and the money. We will be back for sure!

Hidden gem inside a hockey arena. This place was not easy to find but they definitely didn’t disappoint! The smash burger is definitely on point. The portions were quite generous too. For sure one of the best burger if not the best I’ve had in Burnaby so far. The fries were also very crispy with a soft interior. Will definitely need to be back to try the burger with two patties and bacon. Another customer ordered that and it made me jealous not ordering the same thing lol.

I support the "best burger in Burnaby" reviews, killer stuff, fast, super friendly staff Honorable mention to the fries, they could have gotten away with mediocre fries, but they're great too Currently no sign on the outside of the building, so if you get to the hockey rinks you're in the right place

The staff is friendly, nice customer service. I got the cheeseburger with French fries and a pink lemonade, it was good. It is really nice to have a food place within walking distance from the office buildings. The menu has a good variety and affordable prices. I am sure this will become a popular spot.

The 22's smash burger is the best I've ever had. Made fresh and always amazing; I've eaten it more times than I can count and I'm still craving it. The rest of the menu is great too. Delicious quick eats at a great price. Parking: Lots of free parking.

Neat eating place tucked into the main building at the BWC. Classic diner menu that will satisfy most appetites. Pricing is very fair and quantity is correct. I recommend the burgers. If you're hungry and not a lot of time, eating at 22's Grill is both adequate and satisfying. Kid-friendliness: Caters to many young athletes and the people supporting them. Youth in hockey atmosphere while the players live the food.
