Always so clean I feel bad when my precocious toddlers go in and make a mischievous mess nYou can tell a great store by the pride the employees take in their jobs.nBonus points for creativity see pic.nWell done!!

Great place to shop. Very good on specialty products.

I visited this store for the first time on Friday March 29, 2025. The store was bright, very large and very clean. Most all of the staff I encountered were polite and helpful, directing me to areas to assist in finding the items on my list. The variety of the products was impressive overall, however, there were some areas, like pickles for example, that were sparse and empty of products. I wondered if this was due to the tariffs/US relations.nI proceeded to checkout, I was in line, I noticed a gal standing at a checkout station without a light on. The checkout line I was in was long. She was just standing at her checkout station watching people line up behind me. I called out to her and asked if she was open. She said yes, she was. I wondered why she hadn’t invited people in the line to come over, or why her light was off. I immediately made my way over to her. I started unloading my cart and was leaning on the beltline that moves the groceries as it was stationary and she began moving it without any notice to me. She clearly saw I was leaning on it and when she started moving the belt, I lost my balance and it jarred me. I stood up and looked at her. It’s the only time she smiled! The groceries went through the checkout, she never asked me about bags, I She never asked for a bag to help bag, just let the grocery items stack up at the end. I asked her how long she’d been working there. She told me since August. She brought up the payment amount right away without asking about bags. I didn’t have anyI asked her why she had so quickly rang up the total without asking about bags. She clearly was not interested in any customer service and I told her, I would never be back and I thought she was a snotty brat! I paid almost $400.00 It was pouring rain outside and I loaded my groceries back into my cart and then into my car all loose, one item at a time. I am a Senior with a disability.nI’ve never supported self checkout, always in favour of saving the jobs and dealing with a real person, until that encounter at Zehrs!

Very expensive. Goderich does not have enough grocery competition. When I visit my mom, I’m always shocked at how expensive things are here compared to the city. We probably save $50 when we shop at Metro, a comparable full size grocery store.nnThis review is not to take away from the staff of the store. They have been very helpful when we shop there. The issue is the greed of the Weston family. They need to stop squeezing people for their profits.nnWhen it comes to the layout of the store, I think some things could be organized better. I feel tinfoil and cling wrap would make more sense next to the paper plates and plastic storage containers.
