This is the second time in a week that I’ve been duped by this locations hot section on my lunch. On Monday I got heat lamp fried chicken and Krusty macaroni and cheese mixed with fresh Mac and cheese total waste of my money and my lunch break . Then again on my lunch yesterday I got a turkey sub that had meat , cheese and lettuce, no tomato or mayo just dry bread with hard ends and a burnt up grill cheese! Not wasting my money here anymore , I’d give no star if provided the option. This place use to be good but not anymore!!
This store is a mess compared to other ones in the region. Half the produce is rotten and the staff is a trip to say the least. They must get robbed a lot because the security and exams are a bit much. I spent 120.00 on next to nothing, did the courtesy of doing the cashier's job using self check out. Scanned everything right and still got questioned if I had a hidden pack of cheese. Nothing like feeling like a thief in front of strangers to make you want to return.nnDo yourself a favour and just go up the road to no frills. You will pay less for most items, the staff is friendlier, and half the time the produce is better too. Now if they could just have fresh baked breads I would never go back to the mall again.
I'll echo all the other reviews talking about how bad the cashiers are at this Zehrs. This time, it was Cynthia who made my checkout experience unnecessarily difficult and was downright hostile in her interactions with me. I know that Loblaws has made it their mission to make grocery shopping feel like a cattle run, but the police wannabes at the checkouts are an extra touch in making the customer dread even setting foot in the store.
Happy to see conveniences that other grocery stores do not have: like a small Starbucks kiosk in store and a cute machine for cutting fresh pineapple. The pineapple as a whole was 4.99, cut into spears and put into a container came to 2.99- pretty good deal, and saved me work, plus it's fun to watch
