Yummy Yummy Japanese & Thai Cuisine in Owen Sound is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked into their cozy, welcoming restaurant at 251 10th St E, the friendly staff made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed, with charming Japanese-style decor that sets the perfect mood for a delightful dining experience. nThe all-you-can-eat menu is a sushi lover’s dream! The sushi rolls, like the Red Dragon Maki and Owen Sound Maki with its succulent lobster, were bursting with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each piece was crafted with care, delivering a perfect balance of flavors—crisp veggies, tender fish, and just the right amount of rice. The Shrimp Tempura was golden and crunchy, and the Chicken Katsu came with a teriyaki sauce that was out-of-this-world delicious! For Thai food fans, their Pad Thai and Lemongrass Beef were packed with bold, authentic flavors that left us craving more.nWhat truly sets Yummy Yummy apart is the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, quick, and so kind—always checking in with a smile. The iPad ordering system made it super easy to customize our meal, especially for allergies, which was a huge plus. The price for the all-you-can-eat option is such a steal for the quality and variety you get! nWhether you’re a local or just passing through Owen Sound, Yummy Yummy is a must-visit for fresh, flavorful sushi and Thai dishes in a warm, family-friendly setting. First of all, the food is alright, not top notch but still enjoyable. What I want to talk about is how long we had to wait for each serving on the all you can eat.nnPaying for a $35.99 service should be worth your money and worth your time as well. We sat and ordered and ate and after an hour of that, we all were still very hungry, there were 4 of us, 3 of us ate, not because the food portions were small, but because the food was coming really slow. Nobody was clearing our table, and our waters were empty for a while. I had to go talk to one of the workers where after him talking back to me instead of apologizing to a customer, he got his staff to speed up the service for our table and right away they came to fill up our waters, clear our table and bring out food faster. But for us to get our moneys worth out of the AYCE and get as full as you normally would want to spending that type of money, we stayed for almost 2 hours, which is really ridiculous. I usually really like to support family and small businesses, but this place really disappointed me, and this is my second time here. The first time I came I was really happy with everything overall, this time, just a buzzkill, and I’m still disappointed because I wanted to impress my friends with this restaurant.

They offer all you can eat or ala carte options. Went to Owen Sound and gave this restaurant a try. Not bad for the price.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I’m very disappointed in my experience with Yummy Yummy to say the least. There was zero service apart from when we ordered the food, only time server was nice was when we were paying. The food was sub par at best, rice was overcooked and tasted like it was 2 days old. So not worth the $150 dollars we spent. Fruit flies in my “fresh” mango salad, constant flies landing on our food and there was a piece of metal/tin IN my rice. I do NOT recommend this restaurant. If they had been busy I would have left the service part alone but it was 3pm and there was only two other tables the entire time we were there. Ordered maybe 6 things between the two of us some to take home and was criticized by server for it. Only good food of what we ordered was the sesame chicken.

Lives up to its name - yummy yummy. Came here to buy a la carte but opted for their buffet instead. Great decision!nnEverything on the menu was tasty! The crab tempura was great. The eggplant, Avocado pizza, the griled shrimp... all fantastic. The cashew soup was a bit salty but every other meal hit its mark. We had a great time. I wish they had a branch in other places
