This is a well known restarant in Vancouver, BC. We visited it in the morning at around 10 am on Saturday. As observed, there were still many unoccupied tables when we arived. It was not until 11:30 am that the queue for waiting the tables started to appear.nnOriginally, we thought that we thought that the venue of this restaurant would be very large. In fact, it looked like a middle-sized restaurant in Toronto. The tables were also close to each other. Hence, the whe restaurant was fully seated, it would be very noisy.nnWe ordered more than 20 dim sums for a group of 9 persons . Most of them were still very hot when they handed to our table. Also, some of them were new newly invented by the chef. While we appreciate its creativity in dim sum making, the taste of which was still average and almost all of them tended to be salty.nnOn the other hand, the servers were very friendly and responsive to customers‘ needs.nnI am hesitated to make a strong recomendatio to you in consideration of its tastiness, food quality and prices. But a try is OK.
One of the best dimsum restaurants I've been to. There were so many unique dishes that tasted different than other dimsum places and every single dish tasted delicious. Not too much more expensive than the average rate for dimsum right now despite having so many higher end dishes.
The service, ambiance and dishes are absolutely impeccable. Everything—from the service to the food—is prepared with great care.nAll the ingredients are incredibly fresh.nTheir roast goose is even cheaper than in Calgary; the skin is crispy, and the meat is full of flavor.nThe lobster is plump and meaty. We finished the entire 3-pound lobster.nThe grouper is extremely delicious. I just realized I missed taking a photo of the sizzling grouper pot. It’s perfectly seasoned, and the side ingredients are also amazing.
Yue Restaurant is a dependable Cantonese dim sum restaurant in Richmond that focuses on fundamentals rather than trends. The har gow features thin, translucent wrappers with properly folded pleats, and the shrimp filling is crisp and naturally sweet—no excessive starchiness. Siu mai is meaty and well-balanced, with controlled fat and clean seasoning. Steamed pork ribs are flavorful without being mushy, carrying a subtle black bean aroma, while chicken feet are gelatinous and well-braised, glossy without excessive sweetness. The BBQ pork rice roll follows a classic soy profile, and the rice sheet remains soft yet intact. Desserts are equally solid: lava buns flow smoothly with balanced sweetness, and baked BBQ pork pastries show clear flaky layers. This is not a flashy modern dim sum spot, but a place that respects tradition and execution—ideal for family meals or anyone seeking reliable, well-made Cantonese dim sum.
Was an ok dim sum place. I think slightly overpriced. The red rice noodle roll was a bit greasy.nTaro dumpling with scallop and curry was interesting. But also a bit greasy.
