Had the pleasure of trying out Yoshi Japanese in Fort McMurray. Place is small and cozy, I found it to be very clean and the waitress was very courteous. The food was really good and was cooked fresh. I definitely will come back to try some more of their menu. #chicosreviews76
On my recent trip to Fort McMurray, I was craving sushi so I stopped by for some dinner upon arriving. I order three dishes. Agedashi Tofu, assorted Tempura, and assorted sashimi. The tempura batter was a little thick for me. The sashimi was okay, not the best or worst I’ve had, however, the agedashi tofu was amongst some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Crispy and light on the outside and super soft on the inside. I could have eaten another batch. Strictly amazing. Well worth the visit. I’d recommend going there to try it out.
Ocean scallop roll was perfect! You can taste the freshness in their sushi and it melts in your mouth. It was slightly torched and the sauce was a great balance, not overwhelming.
We have eaten at Yoshi's a number of times, have never had a bad experience. They have traditional and Japanese cuisine. There is a wide variety of sushi, sea food or beef stir fry. It is also a licienced establishment for those who enjoy a cocktail with their meal. It is a small all place with limited seating, nice for avoiding large crowds.
Hands down the most incredible, delicious, and fresh sushi and Japanese cuisine that Fort McMurray has to offer. My family and I have been coming to Yoshi’s for almost a decade now and the service and quality of food is always amazing. Thank you Carrie, and the rest of the Yoshi’s staff for always taking such good care of us and making us feel like home each time we come to your restaurant. We You Guys! Jen and Shane
New favorite sushi place. Everything I’ve had on the menu so far has been delicious, whether is sushi, or various Chinese or western dishes. Great quality and a locally owned small restaurant atmosphere.
If you're a snobby West Coaster looking for sushi in Fort Mac, this is the only place to get it. The fish is fresher than most restaurants in Vancouver, it's flown in on ice every single day. The service is a little slow, but that's a Fort McMurray staple, and at least they're always friendly, and they are very swift with the next cold Kirin or Asahi. Looking for a suggestion or two? I'd never leave you hanging.
Eventhough the curb appeal and venue are tired and dated, possibly not appear too clean, the menu and food quality are superb. The staff and chef are willing to be creative with off the menu orders and special requests. The shashimi fresh and larger pieces are served. The staff is accommodating friendly and prices are reasonable. If in Fort McMurray this is the Japanese restaurant to visit.
I’ve recently become a regular here since the Japanese food is soo good, I’d even say it’s the best in the city! Prices are very good and the portions are generous and the sushi quality is top notch! I will continue coming back here for all my Japanese food cravings!
Nice family run restaurant and it's very clean inside. I ordered their teriyaki beef and chicken hot plate meal and the portion is quite generous almost couldn't finish it! Also had the Agedashi Tofu and Grilled Mackerel. House salad dressing is tasty and different from other places ive dined at before. Only thing I found was the Miso soup was a bit salty but it can always vary depending on how much miso is used. Overall I enjoyed my meal and I feel that it's good value for your money.
