York Shawarma

The stellar item was the baklava which was filled with pistachio unlike many others I've tried - a must and only try! Beef shawarma plate was alright. the beef was pre-shredded and mostly the gyro type which I didn't expect, but okay. Pit stop kinda vibe. Will go back for the baklava if its quality remains consistent. Service was good.

We loved our chicken shawarma sandwich. It was a large portion and very flavourful. We made our sandwiches a combo with the garlic potatoes but were too full to eat them right away and ate them a little later- they were delicious ! We liked that they added a swirl of sauce on top. Chicken shawarma sandwich is good but there is something missing that stops it from being great. Line is always long at lunch but it moves fairly quickly. Not a lot of atmosphere but that's not what they're going for. I am a regular.Food: 4/5

I don’t know what has happened to this place. It used to be amazing, but the last two times I’ve went, their garlic sauce tasted like Mayo, and the chicken is dry. I also found lots of pieces of cartilage in my shawarma. Too bad. Used to be one of my favorite places.

Turkish place turns out which is cool. Ordered a Falafel and it was made fresh as well as the pita pocket. The lettuce looks old and discolored so I did not choose that. Tried to make a Lebanese style falafel but there was no tahini/tarator sauce only tzatziki which would have made it Turkish or Greek so I put hummus, closest thing. Had the garlic potatoes but the garlic sauce was not garlicky enough. Also, the pickled turnips and cucumbers were on the salty side which kind of ruined my sandwich. Won't return to this place for falafal that's for sure but the service was very good from the young Turkish man.

Delicious chicken shawarma! Ate there 15 minutes ago with a few of my coworkers. Food was very good, no one was disappointed with their food. I got the chicken shawarma salad with extra chicken. Extra chicken costs $3.99 but I would say it’s definitely worth it. The amount of food I received was insane, I actually had to pack some up and take the rest home. Everything has good flavour as well. The hot sauce especially, spicy, but sweet at the same time. Very good. Apart from Ali Baba’s there’s currently not many other shawarma options in this area. It’s nice having something new, I myself find it to be better then Ali Baba’s. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Very different Shawarma, it's like 3 different layers of taste one can enjoy in their shawarma. Must try thing. Place is very clean and quiet

Got a chicken shawarma sandwich. The picture looks small, even the pita looks small, but its stuffed! Portion wise, its worth the money. The bad part is the chicken is really fatty. To the point that I was spitting out chunks of fat almost every bite. Some of the chicken was also slightly undercooked. The veggies are fresh, and the sauce is amazing. All the flavour is in the sauce! If you decide to try the chicken shawarma, I would recommend asking them to throw the chicken on the grill for a bit.
