One of the best places I’ve been to!!! We keep going back every week just because of how good the food and service are!! Our waiter Mahmoud is absolutely the best and he made the biggest different in our experience!! The food all comes out hot and well put together the hot plate is my personal favourite for breakfast!! Otherwise I love their fried egg noodles!!! The atmosphere and the inside decor is also beautiful and this is a truly hidden gem!!
Staff is warm, friendly and attentive! Food was so delicious! It was our first visit since the restaurant was sold/renamed and we were not disappointed, we will definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Great vegan options!
Pho was excellent. Beef rib was fall-off-the-bone delicious. Pork chop and quiche on the rice plate were a bit dry. Friendly and attentive service. Excited to try other items on the menu.
New Vietnamese restaurant serving traditional dishes with a few not served anywhere else. Dishes have a home-made taste to it - as implied in the name. The fresh baked bread had a great texture and the main dishes were savoury. Recommend anyone that wants to try some new and traditional flavours.Food: 5/5
Some offering unique. Price wise, much higher than what I am used to paying locally for pho. I was inquiringly about the pork broth pho on the menu and ordered it, however got a different pho dish instead. I didn't care much about the mix up since I wanted to try any of their pho dishes. It had a homey feel. But could have used more noodles, felt like it wasn't as substantial enough for the price. Broth was very clean tasting. The tripe didn't taste as fresh as the other meats in the bowl. Peach ice tea was good. Shrimp spring rolls were also good but was on their smaller side for the price. Banh mi was a bit disappointing, bread was too dry. Not sure if it was fresh, it crumbled everywhere upon eating. Bread to filling ratio left a lot to be desired.
The food was absolutely delicious and such good portions for the price. Both the banh mi I ordered and the hot plate my friend ordered could have easily been two meals. Everything tasted fresh and like a lot of care was put into making it. I've been craving the Bahn mi everyday since I ate it. I went during the soft open so the service wasn't the smoothest, but that's exactly what a soft opening is for. It was our servers first day, so she was still figuring some things out but she was still super friendly and trying her best despite not knowing how to do everything 100% and the owner was super sweet too and helping with serving and such. I will definitely be going back every chance I get!
Decided to try this place out because I love Banh Mi Yes. I got the vermicelli with grilled chicken and beef satay. Both topping options were delicious. Would recommend. If you want your noodles with more broth, you can ask for another serving of the fish sauce broth. The hot plate Vietnamese breakfast was ok. The beef and xiu mai were a bit too salty. Wasn't too bad if you are it with the baguette but by itself, it was too salty. There were different topping options and I chose the sauté beef and xiu mai. A friend had the pork broth noodle soup. Was able to try some of it and really enjoyed the broth. Very light and flavourful. It has a nice celery undertone offering a refreshing soup to contrast some of the other dishes we ordered. Vegetarian options: A big selection of vegan dishes. Kid-friendliness: Booster seats available.
Love the taste of every dish. There’s nothing to complain about their foods and drinks. Love them all.Food: 5/5
This has become one of my favorite spots for authentic Vietnamese food. Their Pho broth is incredibly rich, the BBQ meat is very tasty and their banh mi is probably most authentic in Ottawa. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and Vegan options
Best veggie broth I’ve ever had. Lovely little restaurant with friendly service. I went with 5 girlfriends and all our meals were delicious. Definitely going back.Food: 5/5
