Authentic Vietnamese place, highly recommend! Ordered from here via UberEats for the first time yesterday, and I’m impressed with their quality of food, packing, portion, freshness, taste, everything! It’s rare to find a place that serves steamed pork rice rolls in Ottawa, and they make it here perfectly. The menu is not huge, I definitely hope they’ll expand it as we’d love to try more dishes!
My partner and I came here for a late lunch the other day, after seeing some really authentic Vietnamese food on their menu. I ordered the pork Broken Rice, and he ordered the Bun Bo Hue. I really loved the broken rice - it came with the egg quiche and the shredded pork, which I consider to be a must have with this dish, and not easy to find at other Vietnamese locations. Although my partner's Bun Bo Hue broth was not his favorite flavour profile in town, he still commends the authenticity of the dish, and their addition of a pork hock in the soup. That said, we will most definitely and are really excited to try their Banh Cuon and Bot Chien. Bonus fun fact! We found out this owner was the previous owner of New Mee Fung, and came out of post covid retirement to start this new place. So old time lovers of New Mee Fung should definitely come check this place out!
We tried the fresh shrimp wraps, the BBQ beef soup with rice noodles C9 and the shrimp, crab and pork udon noodle soup C5. Everything was fresh and flavourful and the soups were piping hot. Friendly service from the owner who took our order and brought out our food.Food: 5/5
This is the only place to have satte soup, must have dish, I love the fact that they give soya sprouts and basil leaves, makes all the difference, kudos to the lady who is the main cook and her husband who is always friendly greeting you and making sure you are happyFood: 5/5
When I entered the door, I found that all the decoration and equipment were brand new, but after talking to the owner, I learned that the family had been in the restaurant industry in Ottawa for forty years. Very tasty food, clean and hygienic environment.Recommended dishes
Instantly my new favourite Viet place! Accidently found this spot on Somerset and so glad that I did. Had the spicy satay beef and it was amazing. Can't wait to go back!
If you used to like New Mee Fung before the current owners bought it and change recipes, then go to Feifung Kitchen. The previous owner of New Mee Fung has opened here. They have the best peanut sauce anywhere.Food: 5/5
Ordered the banh canh cua and shredded pork rolls. They both tasted very authentic. Would prefer the rolls to be served with nuoc cham instead of peanut sauce. Highly recommended. Curious why name is Chinese but food is Vietnamese?Food: 5/5
One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants, very highly recommended. Beef Sate and the Bun Bo Hue are the best in town.
New, and already and definitely one of the better Vietnamese restaurants. Nice selection of food, well prepared and fresh.
