Incredibly tasty African food! As others have pointed out, the jollof rice is great and has just the right amount of heat. The coconut rice is just as good and you can order half and half for each kind of rice. There are a variety of meats to choose from, including jerk chicken and smoked turkey which all tastes amazing. The interior of the restaurant is pleasantly clean and air conditioned, the decor and atmosphere is fresh and inviting especially for this area of Calgary. Service is quick and friendly and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to try out some new flavours!

Had never heard of this place before seeing it at the farmers market and decided to try it out Staff was super friendly, and there was plenty of food options. I wasn't sure what I wanted to get, so she gave me the option of getting a little bit of everything -- super accommodating of her. Had the curry goat, oxtail stew, vegetable rice, and jollof rice. Everything was super flavourful, but the oxtail and the vegetable rice were the standouts to me. Will definitely be back

I took my family of 4 to Yenny Delights and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor in all the dishes we tried coconut rice, curry chicken, jerk chicken, scotch egg. The young man serving us was pleasant and very helpful in giving us recommendations and the lunch special was fairly priced. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

I had heard about this place from a few people so I had to check it out myself. Wow it’s a true gem! It’s family owned and the family is very sweet. I tried the oxtail and goat with jollof and wow it’s the best African food I have had in Canada. They even gave some plantain which I had for the first time and it was soft and delicious. I am definitely a regular from now onward. Excellent customer service, food was just beyond amazing and super clean! 10/10 for sure! Can’t wait to go back.

Phenomenal food from the first bite to the last one. I got the Jollof Rice combo with Smoked Turkey and Plantains, and I'm looking forward to getting the Oxtail next time. Fantastic service as well, great food. Highly recommended

I came here for the reviews and left very disappointed. The jollof and fried rice wasn't tasty and felt a bit soggy. The only thing I could enjoy was the turkey. The customer service is okay but I wouldn't expect much as this isn't a 5 star restaurant. Maybe the day I came was bad, but the food was so disappointing after 3 spoons.

Came in to try there food for the 1st time. Ordered Me some curry goat, rice and peas and plantains. My man upfront was hospitable and friendly and hooked me with a decent portion of goat. My only wish is that I had just a little more goat curry. But all in all. It was fresh, tasty and spiced just right. I'll be back for more. Please continue to give good portions and fresh food. And you will have a recipe for success! Thank you and happy new years!

5* for flavor The prices are high for what you get, so I removed a star for that. Stumbled across this gem today on our errands. Wow! What a great find. We shared a combo with Jolof rice, Coconut rice and Jerk chicken - it was all fabulous, although we were very disappointed in the 2 tiny jerk chicken drumsticks that we got. We also tried a beef patty and scotch egg - amazing!! We had never had a scotch egg before and were blown away by how tasty it was. The man at the front was lovely too, very friendly and answered all of our questions. The pricing seems very high for the portion size. We paid $28 for 1 meal we shared it and the scotch egg and beef patty. It would have cost us $60 for 2 full meals which is not great.

People say that food is "great" at a lot of places, and saying it about Yenny Delights is simply not enough; The food here was delicious, and had amazing flavor. The oxtail stew was delicious, the curry chicken was tender and had the perfect level of spice, and the jollof rice was scrumptious. The jerk chicken was spicy, but not overwhelmingly so; it pairs well with the coconut rice The scotch eggs done here are tasty, but the Jamaican Meat Pies are out of this world. They're spicy, and at a level that has flavor you can actually taste while at the same time bringing the heat. Parking: Strip-mall area has decent parking for it's size. If you see me leaving in a food coma from this restaurant, don’t be alarmed. The restaurant is at fault for fully satisfying my belly and leaving me happy. In short: Highly, highly recommend for anyone in Calgary. If you’re driving from Edmonton, it’s still worth the drive.
