We love the dairy ice cream at Yelo’d, they were absolutely delicious! You can find great quality ice cream here and they have a variety of flavours. On our last visit to Edmonton, we ordered a few different flavours like Ube Purple Yam my favourite!, Butterscotch Skor, Mocha Chocolate Chunk, Filipino Rocky Road, Mango and Matcha, all served on black charcoal waffle cones. Everything tasted amazing … creamy, smooth and delectable! Looking forward to try some other Filipino inspired ice cream flavours, pastries and desserts next.
his place fills me with a sense of nostalgia. The flavors like cheese, ube, and coconut transport me back to my younger days.nVisiting this place is always a treat. With the weather getting nicer, we plan to frequent it even more.nHowever, my only complaint is that people tend to linger and monopolize tables and chairs. Adding more seating would greatly improve the experience.
I like their original flavors which is based on Philippine sweets I tried coffee flavor which was creamy and I could taste enough coffee. Their ube latte was ok but a little too sweet for me. I don’t like cookies I want to try ube ice cream next time!
Yelo'd is the ultimate Filipino ice cream shoppe that never fails to amaze me. Not only do they serve mouthwatering ice cream, but they also offer a delightful selection of baked goods that will leave you craving for more. Their cookies are simply to die for, filled with rich flavors that will transport you to dessert heaven.nnOne of my favorite treats from Yelo'd is their delicious Ube hot chocolate. It's the perfect companion for our extremely cold Canadian winters, warming both the heart and the soul. And even though the temperatures may drop, it's never too cold for a scoop of their delectable ice cream.nnWhat sets Yelo'd apart from other ice cream shops is not just their incredible treats, but also the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the owners. They are the sweetest people you'll ever meet, always ready to greet you with a smile and make you feel like family. The staff is equally friendly and attentive, making every visit a delightful experience.nnIf you're looking for a unique and delightful ice cream experience, Yelo'd is the place to be. Whether you're craving a sweet treat or in need of a warm beverage, this locally owned Filipino ice cream shoppe will exceed your expectations. Don't miss out on the opportunity to indulge in the magic of Yelo'd.
I found out about this place through my cousin, so we came here after dinner and we all had such a great time. Earlier we had dinner on Whyte Avenue so it was very convenient to just walk a block or two. Upon first glance, shop's exterior was so pretty, I loved the big windows and the white balcony on the outside. It was so dainty and cute, especially with the lights from inside glowing through. And even the inside, I loved all the greenery and how they opened up the space inside.nnService was quick and attentive. I was very surprised between how many flavors they had, it was kind of overwhelming at first but impressive. Looking at each of the flavors and recognizing how much of the flavors had filipino references brought me back to my childhood. I liked the creativity. I spent the longest choosing between flavors and the guy behind the counter was so patient with me :nnI ended up getting the Matcha Cookies and Cream and Kuya Earl Grey. Everything tasted so lovely and the scoop size was perfect. The matcha and cookies and cream combination blended very well together. The Kuya Earl Grey was amazing, I really like flowery flavors and this one was really good. Both scoops were creamy and the flavors shined. Also both scoops had the perfect amount of sweetness.nnYeah my pictures weren't entirely that great just because I was so excited to try it lol. All in all, I highly recommend anyone to give this place a try because I feel like there's something on this menu for everyone. I'm very curious to try their soft serve with a waffle cone when I come back and what looked like a mango cake slice from afar.nnp.s. Yes in the picture of my ice cream, I was trying to hide that I took a couple bites because I couldn't wait.
