Twice Cream is a delightfully sweet spot! Tucked in a little ways but a lovely area to walk around and there’s a kids sand park nearby. I loved right away that it was tucked in with outdoor seating and sidewalk chalk. Inside there is an eclectic variety of seating and small tables as well as a bathroom.nBut let’s talk the main event which is the ice cream. And oh my goodness I was not disappointed with the variety of flavors. Options too for the vegans. Our lactose intolerant friend enjoyed the Vegan Banana Honeycomb - it was like eating a banana bread in ice cream form. Our kids enjoyed a kids sized cone $3.50 of the Bourbon Vanilla. Hubby had a waffle cone $1 single scoop $5.50 of the Matcha Moroccan Mint Chip- not as matcha forward but the mint was so different tasting and tantalizing to the taste buds, perfectly paired with the chocolate this one was the fan favourite for everyone in our group. And we also had a single scoop $5.50 of the Mayan Hot Chocolate which was an amazing vegan flavour I thoroughly enjoyed. Rich and a little spicy, the weather was cooler today so it felt like a perfect cool spring day treat.nEarlier in the day there was a huge ice cream event and I was curious to know what flavors sold the most that day and interestingly enough it was their rotational item: Key Lime Pie - which you can only get this month of May! And I sampled it and it was like a delicious Key Lime Pie in ice cream form. Tart and sweet. The other flavor that was a hit that day was their Dark Cherry Lemon Curd …so next visit I’ll have to make sure I give that one a try.nFor a Sunday afternoon it was busy with a line but there was still seating available and we came with a pretty large group. Parking is nearby and plenty of room on the street for bikes!
The ice cream was delicious , I had the black Cherry lemon curd and the mango one . The only thing I didn’t like was that I requested single scoop , was served the single scoop but charged double scoop. I didn’t realize the $ difference as I bought 2 pints of ice cream as well . The total was $40 which I initially thought it was a bit much . I should have requested the receipt as I would have looked the price right then but unfortunately I waited until I got home .nFor future clientele , just make sure if you request single scoop that it is what you will actually pay . Nonetheless , will come back . The black Cherry lemon curd flavour is a must try .
Highly recommend the ice cream here, it's so much better than any ice cream I've ever tried! It's incredible! The staff and atmosphere are wonderful, Romeo is a delight! It was a pleasure getting to know him briefly.
Delicious ice cream that is made in store, not purchased from mass-produced ice cream manufacturers. The staff are great and the portion sizes and prices are awesome. Tres leches icecream my fav
Everything here is delicious! Romeo is an expert in all things savoury. I recently moved into the neighborhood, and Twice Cream is now a weekly stop for me! I highly recommend the ice cream flight - choose any 4 flavours you can't go wrong. Tastiest small batch ice cream in Alberta, IMHO.
