The experience here was a bit underwhelming. First off, the vegetarian fried rice we had ordered for a friend had tons of eggs. Maybe egg is vegetarian according to them ? The food isn't spicy but it's rather on the sweeter side. We did mention that we wanted to have the rice extra spicy but it wasn't even at the mild levels! For a quick bite, it's fine but not the best of choices to pick up food from! The portions are good though!
Seriously the best Chinese I’ve ever had!! The ginger beef was so good, crispy but not dry. The chicken fried rice was amazing! The spring rolls were so big and delicious! Will not order Chinese food from anywhere else! Highly recommend.
Don’t do it. All 3 of us ended up with VERY upset stomachs after eating here. Absolutely everything is overly deep fried, including the sweet and sour pork. The man running the place was quite rude over the phone and told us to go outside while we waited for our order when we went to pick it up, as it was not done at the time he said it would be. Not to mention the parking lot is in such bad shape I almost bottomed my car out.
We were very pleased. The special Chow Mein was loaded with delicious additions. Very tasty. The chicken balls were crispy and generously filled. All the portions were a good value. Friendly delivery. Thank you.
The prices on the website are more than wrong. When I ordered for many persons, it was 65% more than on the menu of the website. Unfortunatly I didn´t have time to compare and look for another deliverer. My bill was about $150 higher than advertised online. Further the quality didn´t stand for that price. Please update the website!!!!!!
Surprisingly, I think this is the best Chinese food in South Nanaimo. It was the only thing open at the time and we went as a last resort, but we're quite happy with their "dinner for 4". They made it fresh, it took about 25 minutes, and it's really good stuff. The only negative is that the almond chicken is mostly breading, and the spring rolls weren't flavorful; everything else is awesome.
First time trying the place, lady was very nice on the phone but the food wasn't good.. the chicken in the chow mein was old, the chicken balls were really greasy & you could tell the oil needed to be changed... The almond chicken was bad, dried out, lacked flavor & looked really no different from the chicken balls. Wont be back.
Food actually tasted good expensive but good Size portions. Problem no 1 when we got home no sauce for shrimp no 2 was no chicken in chicken chow.mein well actually 2 microscopic pieces. 3. Got a different type of fried rice than ordered. It did taste good just not what we ordered
Amazing food, I’ve ordered a few times and it’s been great. Friendly delivery driver as well. Quality of food, taste and portions are fantastic. Just became my go-to for Chinese cuisine
This place gets 3 overall from me because: The service was friendly, fresh and on time. the food : absolutely Massive portions for the price , I ordered combo for 2, chow mein was absolute perfect, best chow mein I’ve had on the island, the beef chop suey also beautifully done. Now for the short list of negative reviews, the sweet and sour pork had basically no meat in them, I would more so call them sweet and sour dough balls lol, the spring rolls also weren’t fantastic I could tell they were cooked in old oil, they were very soggy and black in spots, I would definately reccomebd any of the veggie dishes or chow meinb
